Hey Patrons – We would like your input: Should we make a bonus video about automation.

So as you might have heard on twitter, we cut about three minutes from the automation video to make it more concise.

But the parts we cut were already illustrated and animated. One of them is the clip I uploaded here.

So we also have a few more parts like that already written out. It is about more examples how jobs are currently disappearing or will disappear in the near future. (self driving cars, robot accountants, robot lawyers, robot pharmacists & doctors).

We could make a 7-8 minute video from that. But we are not sure if we should do it. It would be something like a Kurzgesagt list video – Something like „5 Sectors where machines will take over your jobs“. It will be a second video pointing toward the universal basic income video. We usually just kill stuff when we cut it from a video but in this case this feels right on the edge of it being worth its own video. It won't be the best video we ever made but it also won't suck (at least I hope so).

What are the downsides?

1. The video might not be good and people are disappointed.

2. This will delay the Basic income video by 3-5 weeks.

Do you want this video to exist?

No matter what, the next video will not be out before early/mid July. Right now we are working too on many different things at the same time. We won’t release a lot in the next two months and then a lot of stuff very close to each other (right now we have three videos that are being illustrated at the same time ). –Philipp

YES PLEASE!

Anonymous

Umm... YES!

Anonymous

Oh yes please, love ALL your videos and visuals! AND sounds!

Michael Finney

We need to also spread the word on your behalf in getting you more Patreon people. Hey people! Do we feel we have the tools to spread the love?

Anonymous

Yes please

Anonymous

Definitely. After you guys work so hard on making those animations and scripts, killing them entirely seems wasteful. If they don't fit on the main channel, they could definitely fit on a second channel maybe

ivesen

definitely yes.

Anonymous

Yes, that sounds awesome

Anonymous

Definitely!

Anonymous

Yes please!

Anonymous

Do it!

Anonymous

YES! Just be as transparent as you are here about it being stuff cut from the other video and I'm sure people will enjoy it

Anonymous

Do it.

Anonymous

Yeah more is better😁

Anonymous

I vote yay. More relevant than planet videos in my opinion.

Anonymous

Hell yeah! And I want Pizza now :D

Hugo van Niekerk

That would be great. Just to be clear. You are still making a 'good side of automation' video right?

Anonymous

Bring it on. The more people understand the reality of automation, the better.

Anonymous

Hell yeah

Andyface

Yeesss!!! Was wanting to hear more on this 😁

Anonymous

More is better. If you required every video to be your best yet, we wouldn't get to watch as many!

Anonymous

Yup, would be awesome to see!

Anonymous

Definitely.

Izzy Jones

Absolutely 💜

Anonymous

I see that the trend is toward yes. I'm sort of a qualified maybe. Yes, if you feel that doing this would meet your standards and not distract from the main story you're telling. No if not - more is not always better and overemphasizing a point isn't the best pedagogy.

Andrew Wrangell Music

I would love to see a video with that extra content, for sure! Yes please!

Anonymous

I was assuming video 2 would be about the transition to a society of no jobs and over abundance.

Anonymous

Yes, absolutely - if only to see if my job is one of those...

Kurzgesagt

Kind of. We are trying to do that with the basic income video. But this is more and more evolving into the value of human work and time, or what makes a human worth something. Personally I think without big societal changes automation will not turn out great for the majority of people. So many different thoughts on this...

Lilly

You definitely should .

Anonymous

My vote is aye.

Anonymous

Since I like all the Stuff you guys make I'd love to see it ^^

Anonymous

I think we'll gladly take as much of your content as we can, especially on such an interesting topic. But ultimately if you all are spread too thin, I know I wouldn't mind waiting on or even dropping that extra work load

murphyngton

It would be a shame if you just throw your hard work away. An extra video about the video subject is surely interesting for (at least) some peoples. (Including me!)

Anonymous

Unqualified yes!

Anonymous

Unbedingt! :-)

Anonymous

YES! everything you do, I think, should not be tossed away especially when those cut parts already create a bigger whole and already are animated. <3 :)

Anonymous

Unequivocally yes.

Jon Adams

Robotics are neither good nor bad. It's how people apply them to solutions. Using machines to do work that used to be only capable by humans has been going on since before the printing press.

Anonymous

As with everyone else here, an emphatic yes!

Anonymous

Can you, for me it is a hell yeah!

Anonymous

Yes, please!

Anonymous

Yes, yes, absolutely yes, release the video. Please.

Anonymous

Not to be creepy, but... yes to whatever gives me more content from you guys.

Anonymous

If you can, please do.

Anonymous

Absolutely, yes!

Anonymous

If you don't want it on the main channel then put it on the German one

Anonymous

YES, Please!

Anonymous

Awww yes, it would be wonderful

Anonymous

Trust your guys judgement :) Thank for for all your amazing work/vids :D

Anonymous

This topic is important enough that any supporting material you can add is useful. I say please do it.

Anonymous

Yes please!

Anonymous

Yes!!! More info is always welcomed.

Anonymous

If the alternative is losing all of your animations and work, then yeah, publish it.

Anonymous

well if it does not take back you guys a lot with your other projects, please do it.

Anonymous

All zwei Woche 😂😂😂 it's been a while since that poor channel has been updated

Anonymous

I say yay! Animations are already made? Even better. The automation video was awesome, and it left me wanting to know a lot more!

Jon Adams

Sorry, didn't think when I hit carriage return... Today, we are living smack in the middle of an age where robotics is rapidly transforming our daily activities. However, it's no different than any other form of competition. For those who make their livings doing activities that are likely to be done more "efficiently" (whatever that means) by a robot, they are probably feeling great unease. For those who make their livings doing things that have a perceived value to others and where robotics cannot (at least right now) step in, they are enjoying the fruits of the robotic revolution. Will be interesting to see how Kurzgesagt could describe that without being too melodramatic ("heat death of the universe" comes to mind %^).

Anonymous

Yes, not that scary though

Anonymous

This is like asking if I want more of my favorite dessert. The answer will always be YES!

Anonymous

Yes please.

Anonymous

I don't think you could put out a bad video! 1000x YES!

Kira Stegner

Yes, please. If you can do it without too much hassle.

Anonymous

Oh yeah

Anonymous

Please do! More content is always welcomed.

Anonymous

Sounds good, but if you do autonomous cars, please actually do some research into which companies are actually bringing something to the table vs which companies are just strutting peacocks before talking about them. Most videos covering this don't.

Bester

Yes!

Anonymous

The way in which you asked this question is going to guarantee that no one will object. Instead, you should ask if its worth spending time on this versus spending time on another video about X subject. With the expectation that the latter would be held off or not done. Basically, what are we giving up by voting in favor of this?

Anonymous

Yes Please.

Steve Bonds

My first instinct was "the more the better from these guys!" However, once I got over that instinctive reaction, I started to think... that automation video was perfect. It described things in enough detail to make a good point, and provided references for those who might want to get more in-depth. It's exactly what I would expect from the quality-over-quantity bias that the Kurzgesagt authors have. At this point I thought... no, let's not cheapen Kurzgesagt with lower quality content. Now that I've seen the example clip I realize that even "lower" quality from these guys is still amazing. I think an automation list show would add a lot to the discussion, especially if there were references for folks wishing to learn even more.

Patrick W. Gilmore

I would vote yes. I assume you have seen the CGP Grey video on this topic? His was good, but there is new info since, and it could use an update. If anyone can do a better job than Grey, it is Kurzgesagt!

Anonymous

If it's not to overwhelming for you guys then please do it!

Anonymous

Absolutely! Would love to see more information on the topic.

Anonymous

Yes please ;)

Anonymous

Yes, some of us always wants more :)

Anonymous

Of course!

Anonymous

Yes! Always!

Anonymous

I vote for more content. Silly question ;).

Anonymous

Please do. The automation video was very enjoyable and any more on the subject is welcome. I'm especially excited for the follow up video mentioned at the end!

Anonymous

Yes! In my opinion the deeper you go into the matter, the more interesting it gets. So I think a standalone video explaining in detail some of the examples is a great idea. And it leads perfectly to the subject of universal basic income.

Anonymous

I find this topic fascinating, so I'd love to see more examples! It's amazing to think that these are changes that will not only happen in our lifetime, but in only a few short years.

Alfred

Yes, please. :)

Merlijn

Yes, please make it!

Anonymous

Lol, of course yes. Anything you guys do is awesome so definitely a yes from me. And i am also eagerly waiting for the Part 2 video!

Anonymous

If it does not crush your schedule for the other videos, please do it :).

Anonymous

Absolutely!

Anonymous

Yes please

Anonymous

Yes, I liked the video but at least for me it feels like some concrete examples of jobs that could be done by machines would even further help me understand on what scale automation will affect us.

Anonymous

Yes, yes, yes!

Anonymous

Definitely!

Anonymous

Yes please! Especially since a good part of the work is done

Kurzgesagt

Good point, I really should have asked differently! There are two risks involved here: 1. The video might not be very good and people are disappointed. 2. It will delay the basic income video by 3-4 weeks.

Anonymous

Yes, you should!

Anonymous

I like the idea of having a "Director's Cut" of each video. If there's any way you can save workload by creating them simultaneously, that would be ideal. Maybe a second channel for the 'less trimmed / more dry' videos with the additional content? TL;DR: Yes! I'd love to see it!

Anonymous

Yeah! Sounds lovely

Anonymous

it sounds good to have some more specific examples to put the topic in perspective

Anonymous

I'm all for more videos, but you do not want to delay the basic income video. That's the real heart of this question. Providing (somewhat silly) "robot pizza" video extras isn't worth being late to the MBI conversation.

Nicolas Berube

The whole automation video was nice but feels incomplete because I didn't see the danger at all and am really more curious about the solutions that definitely exist (like the universal basic income). So even though I'm always curious about what you guys do and any build-up to the basic income video is a great idea, I'd personally vote no. I know which sectors can be affected - and also I think CGP Grey already did something like this with his video Humans need not apply. So no : I want to see the basic income video as soon as possible :)

Anonymous

BTW - It might be to your credit, but the "robot pizza" example suggests that not many of your staff have spent much time working in pizza restaurants.

Anonymous

I think doing an video with examples will indeed make it easier for people to understand how much of an impact the automation this time around will have on the world

Anonymous

Yes do it!

Anonymous

Yes, please!

Anonymous

Yes please

Anonymous

Yes, of course!

Anonymous

Yes, definitely!

Anonymous

As much as I would like to see the basic income video as soon as possible, I say yes! It would further demonstrate how much technology can do for us and potentially convince some people that there is a way to create a world in which work, as we currently define it, is non-existant.

Anonymous

Yes, please!

Anonymous

Yes, the more the better

Anonymous

Yes, please!

Anonymous

I think that spending your time on a new topic is better.

Anonymous

Definitely! I think it's important to illustrate the issues of automation en detail before going to the basic income, because IMHO the automation is the best reason for a universal basic income. Go for it!

Anonymous

I know I belong to the minority but I vote no. I think the original video is pretty complete. Also, I look forward to the video about basic income video. P.S. : Interestingly enough basic income can be intimately related with automation as the channel "The Rest Of Us" points in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEkT14RBzDI

Anonymous

I mean, have you ever delivered pizzas? For one, pretending you can predict travel times down to the minute might work if you're the only car in the road, but that's what would be needed. People get their addresses wrong all the time. All the time. They forget the compass ordinals, whether it's "Olive Street" or "Olive Way". And then when you get there, they don't come to the door. Or they forgot to give you an apartment number. Or they're just not answering the phone. Then they complain about the order being wrong. Or the wrong size. Or they wanted cokes, or cheesy bread. Or their drunk and nobody can find a wallet. So yeah, love you guys, but to-the-minute algorithmic predictions of delivery times is a little too "Snow Crash".

Anonymous

Of course! I can't get enough of you guys. Love your content!

Anonymous

Up it!

Anonymous

Yes please :)

Anonymous

Yes, more examples will make the underlying argument more robust.

Claus Appel

I would like to see it.

Anonymous

Definitely publish the bonus footage. The pizza delivery example reminds me of Hiro from Snow Crash.

Anonymous

I would love to watch a part two!

Anonymous

Yes please!

Anonymous

Yes, examples are great!

Anonymous

One word. YES! Here's why. I don't think the overwhelming majority of people realize how close a lot of these technologies are and how impactful they will be. In short, it's not "REAL" to them. They think this automation is something that is in the distant "sci-fi" future when in reality with the advances in AI it really is on our doorstep. Please do.

Anonymous

Yes please! =)

Anonymous

I would definitely watch it and not be disappointed. Take your time on the basic income video.

Anonymous

Yes, please! Thanks for all your hard work!!

Simone Spinozzi

I'm adding myself to the deluge of ✔️🆗

Anonymous

Nha i think we get it no need to make more exemples. Love all you do looking forward for the new stuff 💎 😘 (my vote is "null" a this point) but i gess you want everybody to show there idea on the subject

Anonymous

I want every Kurzgesagt Bird I can get, do it! :D

Anonymous

Yes! More videos!!

Anonymous

YES! always more videos, especially when you have a good portion mostly ready

Anonymous

Yes! :)

Anonymous

Considering how long creating each minute must take, the Patreon hardcore are more likely to vote for a yes to the original question, as I'm sure many appreciate the content of any release however large or small. However, this particular topic is very much something I'd like to see more of, and relevant enough to a lot of the wider public too who'd also get to see the cut content fixed up. So I say "yes please".

Anonymous

One way to get out of the quality vs. additional work conundrum: open a "Deleted scenes" playlist, with some prominent caveat "These are unfinished rushes / checkout our official stuff <here> and <there>".</there></here>

Lorenzo Gentile

Yes, automation is one of my favourite topics!

Anonymous

Do it!!!

Anonymous

Yes please! This is a fascinating topic and one I haven't seen discussed very much.

1blakcice1

Sure, post a bonus video!

Anonymous

Yes please I would love to see that

Anonymous

First I just want to say thank you all for hard working and sharing interesting contents for the entire internet. Personally I don't think it is necessary to add any further examples, especially at the cost of delaying more important ideas such as UBI. But this can also be just my own opinion, as someone who is working in the area of ML...

Anonymous

Yes please! It sounds worthwhile. I'm sure it will be up to par. This is an important topic!

Blake Isaac Gordon

I would also like to add my 'yes' to this discussion. But will there be a counter point video on how certain job types and processes are not reliably place by machines/automation?

Anonymous

I vote yes as well!

Anonymous

No, it's not worth the delay on other videos. Furthermore I thought the examples in the video (and the clip posted here) were rather weak (by necessity) because of how short and general they were. They sounded more like the pitch of an ambitious silicon valley startup, and sound kinda idealizated compared to the probable actual quality. So I wouldn't like an example-only video

Michael Gehrmann

I trust your judgment on that. You had your reasons to cut them out in the first place. If it fits into your workflow and you create something you are satisfied with, then do it. But if you rather use the momentum to do the next video, leave it on the cutting floor. You might recycle some of it in the next video or use it later. I wouldn't be surprised if some possible extra material pops up, while you do the basic income movie. Maybe you can finish the series with a conclusion video, where you can use the stuff.

Anonymous

No. I only like examples if they're real-world. Use the time to put meaningful statistics from the present and past into new videos, not startup pitches

Anonymous

Nah, I don't need it

Anonymous

The original video was good, but I would love to see a Basic Income video .

Anonymous

I think it's a good idea but it should be posted as a bonus video, in a sense that states clearly that this is different then the ones you usually make.

Anonymous

listicles are insanely popular and could draw a lot of attention to the original video/ your channel. I think you deserve this!

Anonymous

I'm fascinated to no end by this subject, which makes me want to say yes, but if you're at all on the fence - kill the thing and move on. It's the riskier, more painful choice, and you guys have never seemed risk averse in the past. It's a long time to work on a video you don't LOVE.

Anonymous

I'd rather have the basic income one not delayed. Maybe these cuts can be reused for the future.

Anonymous

I'd like to see it!

Anonymous

I like it because I'm a Fan but I believe its not like the rest of the videos in a sense of quality and things learned. Cause we always enjoy and learn with Kurzgesagt.

Honestly, I feel like you shouldn't make it if it's "just a list video." What makes your content some of the best around isn't just the fantastic animation, or the in depth information, or the easy-to-listen-to voice narration, rather, it's your ability to tie all this information into a single narrative which reads like a story—setting the scene to demonstrate why the topic is interesting, starting from the beginning to show what things were like, then following the events to their final form, concluding with a takeaway that gently brings the viewer back to reality in a way that demonstrates how they can be an important part of the story to. If you can tie these extra ideas into one such cohesive narrative, then yes, please do make the bonus video. However, I, personally, would prefer to see the relationship between your examples which are greater than just the overall theme of "how automation will progress." Either way, you have me as a more than loyal viewer. I will happily watch, like, and share any and every video you post. I have complete faith in your ability to make the absolute best list video ever, because you already make some of the absolute best videos on the internet. tl;dr No, please don't make a list video, but if your gut feeling is that this could be a worthwhile endeavor, please do make it. 🙂

Anonymous

I would like to see it. It would be interesting to see some examples that I, or other viewers, would not have thought of, like the pizza truck that by the way should totally become a thing.

Anonymous

I'd love to see it, that way I could analyse my job prospects and consider in what Area should I specialize

Anonymous

Yes yes yes yes yes, more on automation please

Anonymous

One word: Yes

Anonymous

I really liked the one on automation. Perhaps you could do the basic income one then publish the "part 2" of the automation?

Anonymous

i'd watch more :)

Anonymous

Yes please!

Anonymous

Short: Yes Long: Your concerns are valid, which is probably why you produce such consistently interesting videos, but this is an exceptionally import and urgent topic. I would like to see this one list video.

I would like to see more "behind the scenes" videos where all the scraped content gets published

Yes, please. :-)

Go ahead. Never enough!

Anonymous

Yes absolutely. What are you waiting for!!!

Brendan Mk

Hello! I'm going to have to disagree with the majority. I loved the concise video you made, and would rather your team spend their time on the UBI video!

Anonymous

Personally I'd say no. You covered the subject well, and making another might just be content for contents sake. Unless this new video has new points, I'd say just skip it and move on

Anonymous

No, there is no need for this additional video. It would only increase the fear of people who already are anxious about the increasingly technological nature of services and loosing their job to robots.

Anonymous

I think an examples video would be fantastic! It is really powerful to be able to point to specific examples when discussing with people who don't see how imminent this is!

Anonymous

You should buy all means release the videos. It doesn't seem right to do all the work just to throw it away.

Anonymous

make it. the automation video needs a postive counter point.

Anonymous

Yes, please!

Norm

Yes, being an independent investment advisor I'm particularly interested in how adaptive learning technology could supplement (or replace) professions in my industry. Also, I'm very interested in your upcoming video on universal basic income (UBI). Keep up the hard/good work Team K (I never spell it correctly).

Anonymous

Yes, but maybe not at the expense of the UBI video. The thing that concerned me most about the last video was how incredibly ill-prepared our societal thinking is for this. With the amount of power the political right holds in America at present and their views on safety nets and welfare we desperately need to be having the UBI discussion and be getting our heads around it as quickly as possible. I tend to use these videos as a good way to start conversations on this with people on the political right (and others) so the sooner the UBI video is out the quicker I, and many other people, can talk about possible solutions to this very quickly impending problem.

Anonymous

I want to see the Bonus video, especially if it's pretty much already made. BONUS, BONUS, BONUS! Looking forward to the UBI video too.

Anonymous

Absolutely. All the stuff you guys do is good. This is a very serious topic and deserves treatment by great animators like yourselves. I view this as useful supplemental material to go along with the main line video. This will help complete the chapter on this topic. Then go work on UBI :)

Anonymous

Make the video, please.

Anonymous

Please do :D, even without audio i love looking at your animations/graphics so I would even be ok with a half baked video. Kind of a "behind the polish view of Kurzgesagt" :D

Anonymous

i don't need the bonus video if it means delaying other content,

Anonymous

I would definitely like to see a bonus video. I feel this is a very hot topic these days and could benefit from expanding more on some of the ideas.

Zeragamba

i would like to see the bonus video

Anonymous

Hell yes!

Anonymous

Please do it :D

Anonymous

absolutely.

Anonymous

do one on the Ethereum Blockchain also !

Anonymous

I'd love to watch this video!

Anonymous

Ummm...yes!!!

Anonymous

I feel like this wasn't the last video on automation. You might have some more stuff to tell in the future? Delaying another video for a mediocre one, don't know.

Anonymous

Yes - release the unused material. I would love to see it in whatever context you choose!

Anonymous

I think do it. More is more when it comes to kurzgesagt.

Anonymous

As an automation engineer - yes please!

Anonymous

Yes please :)

OSW Review

Yes I'd like to see it!

Anonymous

I have had issues convincing people this is a problem. The counter argument is always that this has happened before and automation will create new jobs. I would love to have more examples to point to that this is not the case. Please complete and post your content so I can link people to it!

Anonymous

Let's move on to the basic income video :)

Anonymous

I'm with the minority of patrons in thinking that you shouldn't focus on a bonus video if it means delaying a main one. I know that almost everyone here are saying you should do it and I would love to see that too, but we are not the ones you should be trying to gain on your field, we already love you and I think is a little risky to not give the prime product to the world. Anyway those are my two cents, I know you would be fine anyway, YOU ROCK

Anonymous

Please do.

Jesse Thompson

While I can see both sides of the argument, the "yay content" side and the "wait, don't delay some other important topics" side, I think that the time and effort that goes into kurz content means that the extra material you already have actually represents effort that has already been spent. I would rather see that effort honored by finishing it into a video than just tossing it out. SO to offer a potential compromise to keep all happy: how about you hold onto this extra material, get the UBI video taken care of as first priority, and only work on this extra project to fill the gaps in schedule until it is also ready? :D

Lines of Desire

Obviously we want all the content

Anonymous

Unless it provides new context...I think I personally got what I needed out of the jobs are being eaten by automation video. My vote is for new content. Perhaps you can just release the trimmed bits to us patreon folks in the future. Just like extras on Video releases.

Ice

Yeah, I'd argue go ahead and release as is or with minor changes to make it more of its own thing. Not everything you produce has to be up to your lofty standards for story quality. I love your content for the content quality. And if you have quality content, use it, call it a bonus video :)

Anonymous

Speaking with a personal bias because I am really interested in this stuff, I would love to see it. it also seems like a practical thing for people to know and wrap their heads around, especially as a young person who is trying to work out how to make a sustainable career. If you don't turn it into a full video to trash the bit's you have made does still seem like a waste, like some other people here have said I'd love to just see what you've got as like a bonus video, even if you just posted it here unedited you could make bonus cuts of scrapped content an extra incentive for patreons, I'm sure most people on here would be happy to see any content even if it's not a polished video. Then again, the main Idea is communicated pretty well in the main video and just getting the concept across concisely does seem to be what you are know for, so it's hard to say.

Anonymous

Do eeeeeeeet !

Anonymous

YES! Go Bonusvideo!

Anonymous

Yes, please.

Matej 'Retro' Jan

YES! Always yes! Like when movies come out in Director's cut or extended edition. I understand the need to cut things short and to the point for the mainstream, but here on Patreon, getting such longer cuts, even if with less cohesive, is a very welcome bonus for us.

I'm a little mixed, since I'm not sure how much more concrete examples will add, especially since there may be a lot of overlap with CGP Grey's "Humans Need Not Apply". At the same time, the general public may benefit from more concrete examples as a lot of our social discourse is still about creating new jobs, and, by extension, having people purchase goods and services they don't necessarily need. We should really be discussing how to restructure society to take advantage of our post-scarcity world. The other argument I can see for the bonus video is that it's likely good to have one consistent work on the AI-robotics topics. This is especially so since a few of these videos seem to be part of a larger series/sci-fi vision (Automation, UBI, AI, Robot Rights). It's a little unsettling, because the Ancient Greeks(?) allegedly said that utopia was only possible with slaves and the word robot apparently means slave in Czech or Slavic. The first sci-fi story to feature the word has the robots doing all the work for the humans, then wondering why humans who do nothing should benefit from mechanical labor. The robot subsequently rebel and wipe out all the humans. It's unsettling because we seem headed in that direction. Having a bonus video might be useful then, because it leaves an important word of caution. We think we might have utopia by navigating automation correctly, but maybe we're walking into more difficulty.

Anonymous

Definitely. Yes.

Anonymous

yes <3

Anonymous

I think it could be a really good idea to release it. Despite the delays for BI, having more examples of what sectors can be hit is better for a lot of people, highlighting a greater importance for our need to set up safeguards for people against automation.

Anonymous

Yes. Or you could just take the already animated parts and release them as bonus to pareons, like the one above. You don't have to make a complete video out of it, but please don't throw away already done and awesome work :)

Anonymous

Kurzgesagt = Good More Kurzgesagt = Better :-)

Please let do it, why waste the work? The next video will be worth waiting for too. 😊

Garland Riggs

Please make it into its own video, i dont mind having to wait a little longer for another video as long videos keep comin

Anonymous

Definitely

Anonymous

Yes! XD

Anonymous

Your videos are so amazing it would be a crime to waste the material you've already created! It may mean the next video gets delayed but it would definitely be worth the wait.

Anonymous

Absolutely! I'd love to see the bonus video, especially if much of the work is already done.

Anonymous

100% yes. This was one of the best videos in a while, definitely release the extra material! Thanks as always.

Really would like to see more. Automation will be a major issue and should be explained very well before going for basic income.

When I think about my average friend, this video is not convincing enough, More personal arguments/examples like the pizza will do the job, or we can just make a robot to convince everybody :-/

JUST DO IT!

Do the video, we like the idea of examples like this

Yes. Your standard is high. Every single one of your videos is extremely good by all measures. Your content quality is what makes you so successful so I bet you won't disappoint. With regards to the delay, well I don't think that there are many people who have so strict time dependencies on a content which has not yet been released. So .. by all means, do another great video

Swap it around. Make the new video in Jul about the basic income as you intended. Work on the bonus video as time permits, e.g. over the lull of the holiday season.

Hmmm - actually a tricky one. It depends on who benefits. Robotisation of pizza creation and delivery would benefit big pizza companies and release certain employees from a seriously repetitive task (I did repetitive factory work back in the 70s, when we were cheaper than robots - glad to see the back of it). However, many starter enterprises are involved in fast-food production and I wouldn't like to see them elbowed out tof the market. This is a point that could be included in the video, to help people understand that robotisation is not all bad, or indeed all-encompassing. We humans will always have a place.

I would like to see the bonus video. I sounds interesting.

Yes, this sounds like an interesting video in its own right. Talking about automation in more concrete terms would make it easier for people to relate to it.

Those details sound fascinating and illustrative, pun intended. Please, if you could, let us in on the edits.

If this video is too much of the same already covered, then maybe it bores the subject more than hype up the coming basic income video? Would it be worth releasing this after the basic income vid?

Anonymous

I'd like to see the bonus video! I felt like the automation video could use more examples

Based on the clip you've shared, I would be very happy to see the bonus video. Focusing on examples of large industries where automation will have a major impact on jobs will help drive home how important it is to talk about BI

Rob

I'd love to see it!

Yes! Please make it
