It's been so much fun watching In the Soop with you! Yeah, season 2 was too short. But I'm glad they still decided to do a season 2 despite all the crazy hectic schedules that was going on at the same time. Butter came out and PTD and preparing and rehearsing for all their coming concerts. They were busy! I'm glad they had a little moment to enjoy some relaxing time In the Soop again and recharge themselves💜

OMG I'm only at the beginning but I literally screamed out loud at the meat comment. It took my brain a second to catch up 😂😂😂

AstronautInTHEboX

They had multiple cooking classes during RUN BTS, Namjoon is talented in many fields, but even Star Chefs can't help him. But he is excellent at making pasta aglio e olio. In case you didn't notice, they had to censor Hobi when he screamed in the haunted House, because he used really hard curse words like motherfucker, LMAO. And BTS are huge Soccer/Football fans, but in general all 7 of them like to watch different sports. Sometimes they embrace their inner Dude-Bros, and it's just fun.

AstronautInTHEboX

Oh and all the Members need Glasses/Contacts, besides Hobi he wears them because it looks cool.

Julie Bourne

omg cannot wait for you to dive into Bon Voyage!! Every season is amazing but Malta (S3, I believe) is my absolute favorite

Julie Bourne

ALSO, I know it seems small but something that I loved from this episode was how much they cheered on the women's sports teams / female archer - it made me realize how rare it is to see men really admire women in that way, saying "they're so cool" or "they're amazing". I was really touched by it!

I would love to see Hwarang with even when I just finished to watch it for the second time now >.< so yes. I'm in.

So fun to re-watch with you! I would love to watch Hwarang with you, as I've not seen it yet. But I can wait til after Bon Voyage, Run, etc. It's all fun! 💜

CC

Thank you as always for these reactions! It’s so nice to sit and rewatch these with you, I can really tell how fond you are of them💜 Have you heard the exciting news of RM’s album being released on the 2nd of December? It’s called Indigo

Daydream⁷

So much BTS content to watch: Run BTS Festa Summer package Winter package BTS episode (behind the scenes) Concerts Musters Burn the stage Break the silence Bring the soul BT21 universe The list is neverending… You have to watch Spine breaker making MV. Jin made the choreo and it's fun and chaotic😂Everyone played a different role in making it. They performed this together at my favorite BTS Concert Muster 5th Busan! It's a long concert, but it has a story and funny skits between performances. They performed some of their earlier songs too. Definitely worth watching! Maybe sometime in the future we could watch it together? I would love that!😚

yass!! i would love to see hwarang with my bestie <3 <3

Lela

Jhope & Jimin's nighttime dare is SO funny 😂 when the camera zoomed out at Hobi's swearing I burst out laughing. One of my favourite moments!

nessa

I know right? especially after seeing all the backlash An San received from the men in her country, it's nice to see them cheering and being proud of her.

Loved this episode! I grew up in an all female household and we were never sports fans but we always watched the Olympics together usually figure skating and gymnastics mainly. I really liked they were watching women's archery and women's volleyball events tbh I feel like lots of men ignore women's events altogether which is really sad. Yes RM really is that clumsy and why he has the nickname "God of Destruction" by the members. There are whole compilation videos of him breaking things, he really doesn't know his own strength sometimes (the phrase a bull in a china shop comes to mind lol). It does bother him sometimes especially in the past as it would make him sad when he broke something he loved but I think the members as they've matured together are so supportive towards him now letting him know it's okay not to get upset and they will help him fix it if they can. It will be interesting for you to go back and see them in their younger years like old bangtan bombs, Bon Voyage and even early Run Bts episodes because they've matured so much but back then they were more like typical boys teasing each other, high energy and chaotic lol. JK is very mature for a maknae I feel like he splits his time between acting like a maknae like acting cute and acting more like an older member assisting members with whatever they need help with. I think he always had conscientious and respectful side but he did act more like a maknae when he first joined through training and the first couple years. He was so young then being away from his parents at 13/14 international age during training he would often get homesick and cry, the older members like Jhope would console him. But I agree and even Tae has said so himself before that he acts more like the maknae sometimes then JK. They use to be partners in crime in the old days and get into so much mischief together usually acting wild and annoying their hyungs with their antics who usually forgave them because they were cute and endearing. Sometimes Jimin would join in with their mischief and other times he'd tell them to calm down lol. I forget sometimes that RM is in the middle of the ages he acts so mature but also I think sometimes he had so much responsibility on him as a leader that he didn't always feel he could act like the teen he was and I feel like he has learned to let go a bit more now, the members wanting to help lighten his load anyway they can. But he does have his goofy side come out too and I think Tae helps bring that out of him sometimes. Tae is a lot more reserved now so I think you will be surprised to see how much of a rambunctious rascal he is in their early years, but still has his goofy charms just less hyper lol. I'm so proud of JHope cuz he as always been a bit of a scaredy cat but a few years ago he would have never willingly came along on a spooky haunted house tour like this and even talked about facing his fears. I don't know it this is just me but I saw a big turning point for JHope in Bon Voyage Season 4 where he volunteers to do something as well that was huge for him (tho I think having Jin with him on it who can be a bit of a scaredy cat too helped him). I'd seen him join in on things for Run Bts etc in the past but I think it was part of the comradery with the members and not wanting to disappoint them. But in BV 4 he was a vacation and he did something even I would never do lol. I thought he was really brave after that.

I would love to watch Hwarang with you. Haven't seen it yet. It's nice to rewatch these shows with you. Feels like I'm watching it with my bestie. 💜

Laurie

I would love to watch Hwarang with you! Tae's part is not huge, but it's impactful and he does a great job! Minho's character was one of my favorites on the show. His character was so handsome and so adorable and funny, much like Minho in real life.

You’re totally right about jungkook lol he’s an introvert but he’s also super independent … he never likes to ask for things and he doesn’t complain or kinda milk it too much lol jimin and tae are more traditional maknaes that way lol they def play up the cute to get ppl to do thinks for them lol jk can if it has to do with playing games bc he loves to play lol but I think that’s why they love to baby him so much… bc he doesn’t always ask for it. I love both seasons and love seeing all of them doing their own thing…. They’re just happy and enjoying themselves and trust me we all have soop depression bc it was so short lol but there’s so much fun to get into still 💜

Love this episode. They were really into relaxing by this episode, and it's so good to see them get to do that. I adore when JK just stands out in the rain under his umbrella and simply enjoys the rain....It really makes you realize how BUSY they had been, that they hadn't really had time to enjoy all those little everyday moments that come along. It's just very pure to get to see them realize and understand that they need to rest sometimes, and see them enjoy doing so without guilt. Nature truly is a fantastic healer.

Austin, ur BTS journey looks a lot like mine...all out of order🙃 but I think it worked ok for me. I binged so much at the beginning cause I couldn't get enough. The boys are so easy to JUST KEEP WATCHING🤪 I'm really looking forward to u seeing the old as well. U can really c how much they have grown and matured. As a Tae biased ARMY I only called him V when I first discovered them, mostly cause I wasn't confident that I was saying his name right. Now it just flows from my tongue😏 anyway, keep 'em coming.

Suzanne Marcotte

I enjoy watching anything with you. You're so human. I'm autistic and sometimes I don't noticed things that are important but you always have a good angle to explain interactions between the members.

K E

You'll see the boys in a haunted house of sorts when you watch Run 😂. Jimin once said JK wasn't doing his job as the maknae, so Jimin was doing it for him 😂. I'm sure they've said that Tae is treated as the maknae too.

Julie Kühnell

I really recommend Rise of Bangtan and the three official docuseries (and movies) Burn the Stage, Bring the Soul and Break the Silence. They really go into their journey, struggles and growth. It's incredibly inspiring.

2023-04-28 20:45:09 Jungkook acts like the Maknae & the youngest, in Festa 2020 Jimin literally said that jungkook role is being the main as because he's cute & he makes them laugh. And Yoongi said that jungkook would always be the little one. And a person who worked with.BTS before for concerts and stuff said that you could tell jungkook was the maknae, he addressed everyone politely, he listened well and he was cute when he asked for stuff from the staff. Jimins said that phrase once and people just act like jungkook never acts cute or something. The members literally said off camera Jimins is the most.adult like. And they never said Tae is treated as the maknae, Jimin said that thing as a joke. Jungkook acts and will always be treated as the maknae of the group

Also recommending watching burn the stage, bring the soul and break the silence for accurate POV's of their History, all those Documentary Series are made by BTS and Bighit, would recommend watching the Original Content before the Rise of Bangtan, that is fan made in a fan POV.

i like to cook but i'm very lazy and i don't usually think about what to make until i'm hungry but occasionally i'll plan a meal ahead of time. a couple months ago, after watching episode 3 and 4 myself, i decided to try making the crispy pork belly that suga made and i'm so glad that they showed the whole process and him talking about how to cook it so i could follow along. it was super easy to prepare and ended up tasting amazing. i've made it a few times now and it's a very popular dish with my family

kolea626

When they're in the group, Jin/j-hope/SUGA tend to mother JK, feeding him first from their plate kind of thing. But that makes JK affectionate towards those three and JK learnt a lot from them simply from observing. JK is naturally curious and SUGA encourages him to find out for himself what makes it all work and why - he's a hands-on kind of guy. Taehyung is more philosophical, creative, artistic, an old soul. I find Jimin reaches out to others, whether it be the members, ARMY, his family/friends, to complete his happiness. Its not that he's incomplete, its just that the experience is richer/fuller because you're together with him. That's Jimin's aura - togetherness.

K E

Yeah I know the comment was a joke, hence the laughing emoji? I agree JK is definitely treated like the maknae - they all dote on him. My comments weren't meant to say he isn't. JK just rarely plays up the maknae thing. Generally the only time he invokes maknae privileges is during games. It's common for new armys to not realise he's the youngest like Austin mentioned (if they're looking at more recent content with adult JK). He's cute but it's just natural rather than being played up. He'll only do aegyo under duress. Jimin is mature but he also whines and acts cute and the members pointed him out as the most childish one. Tae also acts cute to get something he wants - this episode being a prime example. Anyway all this to say, Austin's observations are correct in that a new army could definitely mistake Jimin or Tae for the maknae. But not to say that JK isn't treated as maknae by the members.

2023-04-28 20:45:09 I don't know maybe it's just me but I never once mistook Jimin or Tae as the youngest members, I was able to tell automatically that Jungkook was the youngest, I don't know if it's because I'm the youngest in my family and him and I act the exact same way, but he acts & looks the youngest to me. There's always been this weird stereotype that people perceive the youngest to be "The cutesy one who whines, is spoiled & is innocent/naive" and that's not how being the youngest is at all, I just think it's a weird stereotype, and it's just so weird to me that so many people think Jungkook doesn't act like the maknae just because he doesn't purposely try to act cute like Tae & Jimin does. Jungkook at least to me 100% gives off youngest vibes. And like I said maybe I just noticed it faster because I have always been the youngest in my friend groups and family so I know how he feels. But Jungkook even looks the youngest too, I remember watching an interview with these dancers who were backup dancers for the PTD LA concerts and they said that when they saw the members backstage, they were instantly able to tell Jungkook was the youngest and they said without makeup Jungkook had an extremebaby face. So, to me at least I was able to right away tell he was the youngest and when I had actually looked up their ages, I wasn't surprised to find out that I was right about him being the youngest, he literally acts/looks like a stereotypical younger sibling lol

It's not a stereotype so much as it is part of Korean culture. The maknae (in any group in society, not just kpop) is expected to be obedient, respectful, traditionally run small errands like getting drinks and cleaning up (and a typical kpop maknae will also be cute, adorable and maybe innocent), and in return the older ones look after them - e.g. feed them, give them affection, and mentor them if that's the type of environment it is. Since Austin is a fan of a lot of kpop groups, he is used to seeing 'typical' maknae behaviour, which is why JK is a contrast to that - like he observed, JK is very independent at this point in his life. That's also why if you watch Korean people react to BTS, they're often surprised by Jin and JKs relationship as they don't act in typical ways (in Korea) for guys with a five year age gap. You have to look at it from a Korean perspective where age plays a large part and a maknae has a certain role in a group.

kookmineve

Jungkook acts like the maknae with everyone apart from Jimin, theres been so many occasions with Jimin where he completey drops honorifics, behaves like the older person and looks after Jimin, its so cute and Jimin is really the only person who lets him get away with it, even in Jimins 2020 festa profile he wrote that his Hobby is being scolded by Jungkook
