Proper use of lightning (and shadows) has always been difficult for me! I'd love a tutorial on that!

i'd like to suggest a tutorial about keeping your piece with energy even while fully rendered. i know much of your process is intuitive but i'm sure you have lots of tips of how we can keep the same flow from the sketch, how to notice if you're overworking it and how to keep the mood and soul of it from beginning to end. i'd love to see a detail video about it. (if there's something similar here already i'm sorry i just pledged for the first time!)

Lighting and skin tone! The way you paint skin tones always has so much life and depth, regardless of the color scheme of the over painting! I'd love to see some tips around how you decide on the base color, shadows, midtones, and highlights! Similar reason why I'd be interested in lighting - just feels like you utilize both of these extremely well in your paintings :)

I would love to hear about your thought process on how you approach painting your environment studies. How do you apply the same basic design principles that you use for painting characters? Or are environments completely different altogether? I’m curious as to how you go about stylizing your environment paintings, because they all look so full of character.

Also, have you noticed a big difference in your prints when you paint outside the range of printable color?

I would like to know if you ever think about facial muscles when you construct expressions for your characters so if you could cover that topic that would be awesome.

Skin tones is such a struggle for me, they either look too pink or yellow, sometimes I just can't get it done. Neutral lips colors are also a problem 🤧🤧🤧

nope it usually turns out pretty good! it depends a lot on the print shop though, the places where i get my prints made tends to get the colors just right.

Loish

thank you! that's a great topic, although i do have a longer tutorial that covers this topic available thru cubebrush! https://cubebrush.co/loish?product_id=znoyq

Can you make a tutorial on how to start selling art out turning it into a job or at least a way to make money? I know that’s someday that art is what I’ll want to do and I’m curious about how you started and if you have any tips to do that!

Loish

hey tamar! i can definitely try! i might be doing a Q&A session soon to try and answer those questions!

Lighting and creating mood for a character is challenging for me especially integrating it into a background/environment.

I'd also love to learn how/where to gather interesting lighting/mood reference as part of a lighting/mood video....but anything you'd like to share with us would be great.
