I'm seeing some complaints with people agreeing on Game Banana in the comment section regarding, "Bakery-Xiangling (Public Release)" and "how there aren't any extra variants/when am I gonna release the rest of it them/Why a paywall", and I'm in a bit of a dilemma and need your input on this because I would like to you know...give you a reason to be here. I know the member numbers are only growing because they want the full mod.

(This screwed up to the ones who did pay to get them, and I don't even think the new members wanted to pay to get them but felt like their hands were tied. I just wanted to make some sexy mods of the characters I love, and maybe get paid for my work if possible. My sleep schedule isn't normal whatsoever anymore when it comes to making these. 😩)

One thing that you have to remember about discourse on the internet: Just because a bunch of people can press a like button on a particular opinion, doesn't mean that opinion is "right", it just means that a bunch of people agree with it. As I mentioned on the Gamebanana post, I am of the belief that if anyone is good at a particular skill, they should never do it for free. The modeling and texture work on your mods is very well done, and I believe the money you earn justifies that effort. Personally I feel that a few more variants could be added to the public release, and that NSFW ones should always remain paywalled. The internet isn't a soup kitchen, and people shouldn't treat this work like its a charity. People need to accept that if you want something good and want it now, you gotta pay.

Certainly does seem tricky to navigate, I think a couple more variants can help with getting more support for your work for now. You could take the route some creators did and release the full mod at a later date, if you want...you could make some exclusives for patrons only later, nothing wrong going about it that way. Its your time and work after all, you can do what you want with it, people will know what they want when they go with ya.

Also, if people are already dumping money into the game in the first place the last thing they should be worried about is $12 a MONTH vs what could have been spend already lmao. Thats why it doesn't bother me at all to do patreon, its going to another creator who's putting time into the work.

As some people have pointed out: It would be good to have have a few public patreon pages that showcase your creations, so potential patrons know what to expect.

I only have one idea, is the $12 monthly NSFW mod a bit expensive?

Javi

Nah not really, some of the more known creators have a higher nsfw tier, $15, $16, ect. and others also use $12 for nsfw. Entirely optional for the user and the creator's end.
