Spring orange blossoms & lemons (& a random floating persimmon......& flying mandarin pieces) (Patreon)

Hi everyone! Coming to you live from my work area, with a jar of peanut butter and a teaspoon cozily resting in front of me, calling my name 😂. To close off February we have a rather bright and cheery doodle 🤣 who knew I was bright and cheery 🤣 but looking at this colour palette makes me so happy. I can't tell you how many regular oranges, blood oranges, mandarins, clementines, lemons... I've consumed in the last 3 months, I've already told you guys 😂 Blood oranges are the BEST, and during this season they're quite easy to find. I guess the lonely persimmon represents the fact that I didn't get to eat too many this year, all of them were way too astringent. There's a specific flat type of persimmon, they almost look like donuts, that are not at all astringent and just a dream to eat, with the little jellies inside. Do you guys like persimmons? I've mentioned before that I discovered them about a year ago, and they've since become my favourite fruit. I'm always anxious trying a new fruit I've never had before due to my allergies, but thankfully all was fine. Trauma from trying a mango and ending up in the emergency room 😂

For anyone interested, this was fun to draw for a few reasons, as I got to use different programs. I first drew the lemons in my sketchbook, using program Human Hand 😂 with gouache paint, then Prismacolor pencils on top once that dried. I then took a photo of the spread (2 pages, that's what that line is in the middle), put it into photoshop to crop it, stitch it together into one file and fix the colour a little bit. THEN exported it into Procreate on my iPad to draw other details using an oil pastel brush to draw the orange blossoms, those yellow and green details and erase little mistakes I made in my sketchbook. Finally, I exported the final file. It was the first time doing this and now it feels like the options are truly endless - to be able to doodle something on paper and then bring it to life even more in Procreate. How fun 😭
