One thing I will say is that Emily's dad goes back and forth with Emily about everything. First he's telling her she'll ruin the family name because of her getting published, then he's getting a maid because she wanted one, then he's telling her she cant go to the lecture, then he tells her they will cut down the tree and gives the poem opportunity to Austin to spite her, before telling her they wont cut the tree down at the end of the episode. Although he ends up coming around eventually in these episodes, he is still putting her through a rollercoaster of emotions by going back and forth with her like that. It'll be interesting to see what you think as we go through the episodes. Can't wait!
