As my older Patrons will know, I ran a poll around 2 years ago asking which Skyrim version were you all using. The results were 50-50 and I've been supporting Oldrim mods since I started modding Skyrim.

Recently, Nexus has reached 4 bn downloads for Skyrim Special Edition, while Oldrim is still at 1.9 bn. More frameworks are being developed for Skyrim SE/AE and users are moving to the 64-bit version. Understandable since SSE is better optimized.

Personally I switched to Skyrim SE a few years ago. I kept supporting the 32-bit Skyrim because the difference wasn't noticeable to me. I'm a small mod author so numbers don't really count.

However in recent releases I've noticed less support than usual to the Oldrim mods, which is what made me hesitant about continuing releasing mods for that version. That made me think that you are also moving to SSE as well.

I think there's no need for me to say that your support has always been my motivation to keep dedicating my free time with mods and I'm eternally grateful for all the nice comments, screenshots and suggestions I get from you all.

That's why I'm running this poll. I haven't made a decision yet because I want to know your opinion on the matter. I want to know if my free time should be spent entirely on SE or if I should keep releasing mods for LE.

Of course, if I focus entirely in only one of the two versions I will be able to release mods on that version more frequently.

Thank you for reading! Feel free to leave your feedback/thoughts below.

With 16 gb Plus Ram becoming the minimum standard for modern ghames, a 32 bit game is obsolete as it becomes all to easy to over-step the 3.4Gb limit on Memory usage. I am sad to say it is clear that Oldrim's time has passed. SSE and AE are the way forwards now. But I think you should clearly sate that LE support is being discontinued from a set date in any media that you post announcements into.

Thank you for your comment. I will of course make an official announcement when I make the decision. Mods that are already planned will not be affected by this change, so it will not be such an abrupt change for users who still use my mods for Oldrim :)
