Chapter 363: All beings will prostrate themselves before the Creator and accept the judgment of the Almighty!

In Lynn's mind, a flurry of thoughts raced through. Although they had a vague idea about the origin of the opponent's versatile powers, figuring out how to counter it remained an immensely challenging issue. Furthermore, it seemed the opponent possessed the ability of resurrection or immortality.

While contemplating, Lynn didn't cease their actions. The levitating spotlight magic above their head activated once more, sending intense beams of light sweeping across the courtyard, cutting through walls, buildings, and trees.

Edweil's figure twisted momentarily and vanished from its original spot, evading the laser's cuts. Despite being slower than light, Edweil managed to outpace the speed of the spotlight magic.

Lynn released their senses, actively seeking the opponent's traces. However, the surroundings were teeming with magical fluctuations, preventing their mental reach beyond their own domain.

"God created the earth and the sky; sinners shall not stand upon the ground!" Edweil's voice echoed in the space.

Instantly, the ground beneath everyone's feet cracked, transforming into a viscous, dark mud. Lynn's legs sank into it, and skeletal hands emerged, firmly grasping their thighs, seemingly attempting to drag them into the mire.

At an unforeseen moment, Edweil appeared behind Lynn. Extending his right hand forward, a powerful surge of magic manifested in his palm. However, the next moment, he halted the action, swiftly retreating several steps, narrowly dodging the incoming "Disintegration Rays."

The one making the move was Raphael! As an adept in the Five Rings magic, "Disintegration Rays" could shred even steel, a power that even Edweil dared not confront head-on.

As Lynn bore the brunt of most of the pressure upfront, Edweil didn't focus much energy on them. After struggling for a while, Raphael managed to reclaim partial control over the domain. However, he refrained from launching an attack until this crucial moment!

Unfortunately, Edweil effortlessly dodged his strike.

Yet, this sudden turn of events prompted Lynn's quick thinking. A glaring beam shot out, causing Edweil's figure to vanish once again.

With a swift mental shift, Lynn's indomitable flames emerged, incinerating the skeletal hands emerging from the quagmire, turning them into fuel for the blaze. Subsequently, the surging flames spread in all directions.

Since they couldn't locate Edweil, Lynn opted to engulf everything, annihilating the foundation of the opponent's power! Lynn wouldn't dare entertain such thoughts if the true master of the divine projection were present, but the one currently 'manipulating' it wasn't an all-knowing deity!

Regarding abilities akin to time reversal, Lynn refused to believe they were inexhaustible; otherwise, Edweil wouldn't need to dodge their attacks.

Driven by Lynn's efforts, the terrifying flames quickly engulfed the entire alchemical research institute, reducing everything to a sea of fire within moments.

Meanwhile, Raphael, Elok, and others were encircled by flames, but controlling it to this extent was their limit. Lynn couldn't muster more energy to contain the toxic gases produced by the combustion, allowing chlorine trifluoride to rampage, generating incessant flames, intense light, and high temperatures, filling the entire space.

Victory over Edweil had become the foremost priority; otherwise, everyone present would meet their end here today.

The flames of terror rapidly encroached upon the coverage of the divine projection. Edweil's figure appeared within the flames, surrounded by a circular shield made of pure divine magic! In their previous battle, he had discerned that only pure divine energy could partly immunize against the 'Indomitable Flame's' devouring nature.

However, the flames themselves possessed immense heat and destructiveness. Moreover, Lynn couldn't find any method to extinguish them.

Traditional methods like sand, metal, or water mist, used to quench flames, were utterly ineffective. Even isolating the air couldn't halt the fire's spread.

Edweil keenly sensed the space around them starting to tremble and disperse. This was just a partial projection, not the actual divine realm; the power sustaining it was being devoured and stripped away by the flames.

Similarly engulfed in the fiery sea, Pulson could only cower behind Edweil, helplessly witnessing the 'Indomitable Flame' encroach upon his divine magic barrier.

Pulson was acutely aware of the consequences once touched by these flames. Arnold's demise was the ultimate testament.

"Lord Edweil!" Seeing the flames breach the barrier, Pulson urgently called out.

Finally overcoming his hesitation, Edweil made up his mind. This foe of the Holy Church needed to be dealt with! Though not yet at that level, possessing two spells potent enough to threaten him, Lynn would undoubtedly become their greatest obstacle in the future!

"When Judgment Day arrives, the gates of heaven shall open, the Lord shall preside above the divine throne, and all beings shall prostrate before the Creator to accept the Lord's judgment!"

Edweil's expression turned more solemn with each word. As he spoke, his complexion paled, and the divine power within him surged madly.

However, a bronze door had materialized in front of Edweil. Even the laser, which could split houses in two, left no mark on this door!

Within the Holy Church, only the Pope, the Chief Inquisitor, and a select few high-ranking officials could wield this spell. The caster needed their inherent divine power as an anchor to guide and support the descent of the Gate of Heaven!

In the past few centuries, this divine spell had been used only four times. While harnessing the supreme divine power to eradicate powerful demons and evil gods, the caster would also suffer severe injuries. Even with legendary powers, maintaining such an enormous expenditure was challenging, with the risk of descending in ranks!
