Chapter 413: Killua and Alluka

Zoldyck Family, Kukuroo Mountain.

A bus turned onto the mountain road, gradually slowed down, and finally stopped in front of the Testing Gate.

In the security booth, Zebro leaned on the window sill, squinting at the third tourist bus of the day.

“Is it the tourist season again…”

He watched the tourists disembarking from the bus, feeling somewhat helpless.

Although he was just an employee of the Zoldyck family responsible for cleaning the "garbage," he always felt uneasy when he saw tourists visiting the Testing Gate without any sense of reverence.

The tourists got off the bus and headed straight for the magnificent Testing Gate, soon taking out cameras and phones to take photos and selfies.

The tour guide smiled as she watched the tourists get off, silently counting the number of people.

“One missing.”

The tour guide looked at the tourists who had already disembarked, then boarded the bus and found a passenger sitting in a rear seat, head tilted back, face covered by a shabby straw hat, seemingly napping.

She walked over quickly and politely called out a few times.

The person’s body twitched, stretched out his hand to remove the straw hat, then straightened up and looked out the window.

“We’ve arrived,” he muttered to himself.

The tour guide looked at the young man’s face, a blush spreading across her cheeks.

So handsome.

She thought to herself.

The young man suddenly turned his head and said softly to the tour guide, “Thank you.”

He then stood up and took down a black backpack from the overhead luggage rack.

“You’re welcome,” the tour guide’s face turned even redder, her heart beating faster, thinking how magnetic and pleasant this handsome guy’s voice was.

The young man smiled at her and then walked towards the door.

The tour guide, almost turning into a fangirl, watched Luo get off the bus. Then she thought carefully about the tourists who boarded this trip, and realized there was no such handsome guy among them.

The bus heading to Kukuroo Mountain to see the Testing Gate was more like a cable car, coming and going every day, with different tourists each trip.

Luo got off the bus, adjusted the shoulder strap of his backpack, and walked towards the Testing Gate.

In the security booth, Zebro was resting his chin on his hand, watching the group of tourists who kept taking photos of the gate. Suddenly, he saw a young man with black hair, carrying a backpack, walking straight towards the Testing Gate.

When Zebro saw the young man, the young man also saw Zebro and nodded in greeting.

“It’s Luo.”

Zebro immediately picked up the phone and called the butler's office. The call was answered in less than two seconds.

Zebro reported Luo’s visit and then hung up the phone.

“Boom…”

A dull sound of stone moving echoed, followed by several female screams and men’s exclamations.

Zebro leaned out the window and saw Luo push open the seven gates and walk inside, while the towering and magnificent Testing Gate quickly closed again, leaving a group of dumbfounded tourists.

“Master Killua will have a feast again.”

Zebro rested his cheek on his hand, looking at the tightly closed Testing Gate, muttering to himself.

...

The trees were lush and green, the chirping of insects constantly ringing in the ears, exuding a vibrant life.

The sunlight was blocked by dense leaves, leaving only irregular patches of light on the ground.

Luo walked leisurely on the simple forest path, as if taking a stroll.

After walking a certain distance, he immediately felt a cold and ruthless gaze from the forest, and then a huge beast slowly walked out of the woods. It was the gatekeeper dog Mike, who had been with the Zoldyck family for four years.

Luo stopped, looked at Mike by the roadside, raised his hand, and said, “Lie down.”

Mike’s sharp face showed no emotion. Hearing Luo’s words, it immediately lay down.

“Roll over,” Luo smiled.

Mike suddenly rolled over, breaking many dry branches, making a cracking sound.

“Good boy.”

Luo raised his hand and took out a piece of leg meat about the size of an adult, covered in feathers, from the black cat’s space. It was raw, with some ice shards on it, showing signs of being frozen and then thawed.

“This is the leg meat of a Ligaru bird, lucky you.” Luo casually threw the leg meat into the air.

Seeing this, Mike opened its mouth, drooling, and leaped into the air, catching the leg meat in its mouth.

Luo ignored Mike and continued walking inside.

The Ligaru bird was a terrestrial creature, somewhat similar to an ostrich on Earth, but fundamentally different. Firstly, its size was ten times that of an ostrich. Secondly, the Ligaru bird’s hind legs were extremely sturdy, with a running speed of up to eighty kilometers per hour.

The hind leg was the most edible part of the Ligaru bird. Since Ligaru birds had no nesting habits, they ran continuously like Kua Fu in the wilderness. Moreover, they were social creatures, running in groups of hundreds, forming a formation like a thousand horses galloping.

Therefore, many people died every year from collisions with Ligaru birds.

Luo walked slowly through the forest sea. After about two hours, he finally reached the entrance guarded by the butler.

“Luo!”

At the entrance, there were no butlers, but two children around five or six years old, one with silver hair and the other with black hair.

The silver-haired child waved at Luo in the distance, while the younger black-haired child tugged at the silver-haired child’s clothes.

“Killua, Alluka.”

Luo smiled, calling out the names of the two children, quickening his pace, and glancing at a certain spot in the woods beside the path.

Both children were from the Zoldyck family. The silver-haired one was Killua, and the black-haired one was Alluka. The person hiding in the woods, spying on them, was Illumi, who had a serious brother complex.

Luo didn’t expose Illumi, who was secretly observing, and came to Killua and Alluka.

“Luo, you haven’t been here for two whole months!” Killua blinked his cute big eyes.

“Do you miss me or the food? You remember it so clearly.” Luo reached out and rubbed Killua’s soft silver hair, as if not seeing the obvious scars on Killua’s face and arms.

Beatings, electric shocks, poison...

These were the growth stages Killua was going through.

Luo visited the Zoldyck family every few months and usually saw Killua covered in wounds each time. Although he felt distressed, there was nothing he could do to intervene.

This was a process every Zoldyck child had to go through. Luo, as an outsider, was already specially allowed by the Zoldyck family to contact Killua during his growth period, let alone interfere.

That brother-complex Illumi was strongly opposed to this point.

Hearing Luo’s words, Killua rolled his eyes, the corners of his mouth lifted slightly, and he said seriously, “Of course, it’s the food.”

“I want food too!” Alluka looked at Killua and followed suit.

“Not a very friendly answer.” Luo shook his head.

Alluka’s Nanika could easily heal Killua’s wounds, but Killua didn’t want this secret to be exposed, so he didn’t let Nanika heal his injuries.

At present, the Zoldyck family didn’t know about Alluka’s ability. When they found out, it would almost be the time when Illumi inserted a needle into Killua’s head.

Luo knew about these things that hadn’t happened yet, but he couldn’t interfere, as it was the Zoldyck family’s own business.

What he could do now was bring some good food for Killua and Alluka, stay for a while, and tell them about his travels outside.

To thank Killua and Alluka for healing Buhara’s arm, this was all he could do.
