Chapter 348: The Urn?

As soon as the Void appeared, the black cat immediately took off after giving Luo and Ging a heads-up. To everyone's surprise, the three Voids chased after him.

Watching the Voids pursue the black cat, Ging remarked seriously, "Your Nen Beast is amazing."

In other words, the black cat was quite versatile, including being used as bait.

Luo didn't echo Ging's tease and said, "I shattered those three Voids with Nen bullets, so their aggro should be on me."

"It must be that stone box," Ging quickly responded.

"Most likely. Isn't it strange?" Luo frowned. "Non-living entities with no physical form having even a weak action logic is already unbelievable, but judging by their current behavior, could they also have thinking abilities?"

"Since it exists in the Dark Continent, it can't be explained by common sense. Its very existence is beyond comprehension," Ging stated.

Luo sighed softly, "That's true, but these seven Voids are a potential threat. If they reach the continent, the consequences would be disastrous."

"If the sky falls, the tallest ones will hold it up first," Ging raised his hand and pointed at the sky calmly. "The V5 will handle this threat. If they find they can't deal with it, they'll naturally seek external help. Maybe then we can get involved."

Once the matter is under control, the V5 will certainly not allow outsiders to intervene, nor will they let any information leak to the public, including the several disasters stored beneath the World Environment Protection Bureau.

Unless the V5 believes they need some extraordinary individuals' help, they might slightly open up some permissions.

Ging's reasoning was sound. After a moment of silence, Luo said, "Since the Voids are back, we can't stay here. Let's leave the island first."

"I wanted to observe them up close," Ging said regretfully.

"Put that thought away, or I guarantee you'll regret it," Luo said, watching the Voids being lured far away by the black cat.

"How do you still have time to chat? Hurry up and run!" The black cat, clutching the stone box tightly, hadn't realized that the box was the reason the Voids were chasing him. Seeing Luo and Ging still chatting calmly, he almost exploded with anger.

"We're coming, we're coming. Lead the Voids away first and meet at the landing point," Luo said as he walked in a different direction.

"…"

The black cat was silent for a moment, then decisively changed direction and ran toward Luo.

"Mischief," Luo rolled his eyes. The Voids weren't fast, so they could outrun them.

Just then, the ground shook again, stronger than before, and faint cannon sounds came from the direction of the port.

"Hmm?"

Luo raised an eyebrow, vaguely guessing something, but it had nothing to do with him.

"Ging, it's time to go. We'll come back after deciphering these texts and finding another opportunity," Luo looked at Ging.

"Alright."

Ging scratched his head, realizing that was the only option. First, find experts to decode the texts and see what's inside the stone box, then decide what to do next.

With the decision made, the two of them ran back the way they came, their speed far outstripping the Voids. In no time, they left the Voids far behind.

The black cat caught up to Luo, angrily saying, "Using me as bait, huh?"

"You won't die from it, so what's there to fear?" Luo retorted.

The black cat angrily threw the stone box at Luo, saying, "Easy for you to say! Why don't you try getting a hug from the Voids and see how it feels?"

Luo hastily caught the stone box, replying, "With the Voids' lousy speed, could they catch you a second time?"

"That's true, but still…"

The black cat stopped mid-sentence, instinctively looking back in unison with Ging and Luo.

"Damn!"

The black cat's fur bristled. The three Voids, using the propulsion from the toxic smoke they emitted, were now floating in the air, flying towards them at considerable speed since their weight was almost zero.

Perhaps due to the stone box, the Voids were acting completely different this time.

"What on earth is inside that stone box?"

Luo quickened his pace, leaving Ging and the black cat behind.

If it were a situation solvable with Nen, Ging wouldn't be running, but Voids weren't, so he could only avoid them for now. Seeing Luo speed up, he followed suit.

Within a few breaths, the black cat saw the two of them were already a hundred meters ahead of him.

He glanced back at the pursuing Voids, smacked his head, and cursed himself for not jumping into Luo's palm earlier. It was all because of that stone box!

Thinking this, he transformed into a normal leopard, fell to the ground, and sprinted, quickly closing the distance with Luo.

Although the Voids had increased their speed, they still couldn't catch Luo and Ging, not because they weren't fast enough, but because Luo and Ging were top-notch Nen users, so it was normal for the Voids not to catch up.

After running for six or seven hours at a steady pace, the two finally slowed down a bit.

"Good stamina," Ging complimented.

Luo smirked. After Biscuit's hellish training, his stamina was naturally good.

As they slowed down, the black cat barely caught up, saying nothing as he burrowed into Luo's hand. He wouldn't come out until they reached the coast.

They ran back to the original landing point.

"Come out," Luo called the black cat.

Once out, without Luo saying anything, the black cat spat out the mast ship and placed it on the ground.

Just as Luo was about to lift the mast ship into the sea, Ging beat him to it and... threw it.

The mast ship traced a graceful arc in the air, clearing the menacing spikes and landing on the sea.

Ging had used Nen to cover the ship, so it landed safely. This was an application of emission.

Though not an emitter, Ging adapted his Nen usage to the situation, not limiting himself to one technique.

"Let's go," Ging said, running and leaping like a bird towards the mast ship on the sea.

Luo, tired of Ging's impulsiveness, wondered what they would do if the ship broke.

They boarded the ship and set sail from Devil's Island.

Eleven days later, they reached the shore, left the ship, and headed straight for the airport to catch a flight to the Hunter Association.

The stone box, which looked like an urn to ordinary people, was highly conspicuous to Nen users due to the intense malice emanating from it. Luo couldn't let Ging get too close without risking an attack.

A few days later, they arrived at their destination and went directly to the Hunter Association.

To avoid more Nen users sensing the stone box, Luo wanted to quickly return to his room to absorb the malice.

But luck wasn't on his side...

"Hi."

Pariston greeted them with a smile near the elevator.

"Yo." Ging raised a hand in response.

Yo, my foot!

If Ging hadn't responded, Luo would have ignored Pariston, no matter how exaggerated his acting was, to avoid entanglement.

"Wow, what a stylish urn," Pariston exclaimed, looking at the stone box in Luo's hand, as if oblivious to the malice emanating from it.
