I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW. FINALLY! You call that "unfinished?" I thought the episode was animated at an extremely high standard. And the same goes for all of this second half of s2, and the next episode. How could you possibly think this fight looked bad? Compared to AoT S4 (not the movies) it was like night and day (in a positive way). All of that said, yes, MAPPA needs to treat their employees better. They're taking on too many shows.

It's not the fight that was "unfinished". Some parts of it could have maybe gotten more polish, but it was very well animated and effective as is. The issue is, with the amount of workload put on the employees, the less important scenes got a lot less polish than before, to the extent that some of them were just still images with speech over them. In the past season, even those minor scenes would have had detailed animation. That, along with a lack of overall fine-detail attention, is what shows the problems the studio was having.
