BTW, Kurumi used vibrations off of their skeletons to recreate the conversation. EDIT: Forgot the explanation. I think some youtuber said that and I blanked on the real explanation, which MechaNeko explained below.

The wildest thing about getting audio from the coffee ripples is that there's no reason why it wouldn't be totally doable with a sufficiently sensitive camera and a sufficiently advanced analysis algorithm. The visible ripples would absolutely occur in time with all the sounds occurring in the room, and assuming you had good enough video quality to detect them, all of the data you would need to reconstruct the sound, or a decent approximation of it, would be present. I always love a good currently-nonexistent-but-totally-plausible technology in fiction.
