also, Frieren is not tsundere at all. she's kuudere. y'all even discussed it after the episode! she seems emotionless on the surface, but she has a lot of stuff going on behind her eyes!

I don't even think she's kuudere. She shows all kinds of emotions. She's just more subdued in a way, which makes sense, since she's so old and everything is routine to her.

Fern isn't 10 years old in the second half. She's 15. The rest of what you said about it still applies, but she still isn't 10.

The priest (Heiter) died about 5 years after Frieren started staying with him and Fern. Frieren arrived at his place 20 years after the death of Himmel. Fern was about 9 years old when she met Frieren. Heiter(the priest) thus died 25 years after the death of Himmel while Fern was about 14 years old(or a bit after she turned 15). Fern was about 15 years old during the second half of this episode(ep2), which was 26 years after the death of Himmel. (likely several months after the death of Heiter)
