I love the way Bojack's patterns come back to bust him. Unless I'm misremembering, the balloon glowsticks was something he and Charlotte did back in the day so she literally would not have gone down to his boat if she hadn't seen literally a stray balloon glowstick and wondered what was going on.

I completely understand Jacob's point of view. Bojack as a character is sometimes very hard to root for but you also need to remember that the point of this whole show is uglifying toxic masculinity and deconstructing the "jerk with a heart of gold" trope. This is one of the most important shows in decades and I really really want you to watch it till the end. It's more than worth it. Bojack Horseman is one of the greatest male characters ever written. He actually has to take responsibility for his actions and the women close to him are in fact incredibly well written.
