The world's worst babygirl is back <3

My original take on why Onion Prince was rejected was because he didn't spiral like everyone else did in the elevator. So far everyone else, as they went deeper started to blame other people for their problems and then expressed a desire to destroy someone or something. Onion Prince started out worried she's going to a guy who will treat her poorly and maybe even sleep with her. The worst he got was a creepy presumptive "No matter how much she is tarnished she'll come back to me in the end" After he says "Because I love her" the elevator stops. It starts going back up when he says "love will win out in the end". By the time he gets back up to the very top he's wondering why he isn't good enough for her. Onion resolved to wait, allow Wakaba her own agency, and have faith that there is some sort of cosmic justice in the current world that allows "love" to win. I assumed without that outward blame or desire to destroy something or the world, a person can't be made into a duelist who would attack or kill someone. Every time the elevator reaches the bottom the occupant is told "Your only choice is to revolutionize the world." However, you do have a good point about him not being strongly tied. I think a person might need to draw their sword from someone who's heart they desire control over. For the purposes of the duel that person needs to have sword skills, since they end up imitating their style. Even if he were to draw from Wakaba, what would he pull out? A bento?
