there have been plenty of shows have popped up to the #1 spot temporarily when the cour/season first start airing, the rating always comes back down over time though after the initial peak

If I recall correctly, Spy x Family itself was #1 on MAL after it's second episode.

Fun fact: the mangaka of this series started out as an assistant for both Hajime Isayama and Tatsuki Fujimoto (Chainsaw Man, Fire Punch, etc.); has an ongoing ping pong rivalry with Isayama; and upon the first few volumes release and subsequent blow up in hype across the community, the Gigachad Isayama himself did his own fan art drawing of the Forger family with a little note at the bottom that roughly translated as “why were you an assistant all this time if you were this genuinely talented?!?” Lol

I think the best thing about Donavon's first appearance is that Anya wasn't there. Just like Loid, we have no idea what is going on in that man's mind! Also, just a quick correction, Damian is living at the dorms on campus, so wasn't calling his brother from the same house. The Desmonds are dysfunctional but thankfully not to that degree😂😅

I am really hoping for Oshi no ko eventually! I just watched the first episode and it's amazing, plus it's by the creator of Kaguya which has already been reacted to on this channel!

It was mentioned on stream, and Caleb didn't seem like he was that enthusiastic about watching more, said they (or at least he, I don't remember) liked it, but didn't love it, so better to lower your expectations of them watching more of it.
