I feel like this season really showed just how much the movies were harming the actual show. This season has been excellent so far.

Not to mention they cut quite a bit from the MVA arc, and their choice to rearrange the second cour was off-putting for a lot of folks.

It also doesn't help that the league of villains apparently didn't have the best critical reception in Japan compared to the West as the moment they were introduced in the training camp arc readership near completely dropped off which affected not only how Horikoshi utilized the villains narratively after the fact but how the anime approached their adaptation of certain story arcs like MVA

Yeah I feel that was the bigger issue in the adaptation in that Japan apparently didnt quite care for the Villain Academia arc and despite people forgetting the Japanese audience is the main audience the show is made for but knowing that I thought they did fine other than the switching events around and cutting spinners stuff at least its not a RoP or WoT "adaptation"

After the events of this season, I stopped reading the manga. It wasn’t necessarily because it was bad, but I felt like it was time for a break. I’m hoping that after watching this season, I’ll want to pick it up again

Guys I’m not just talking about season 5s poor adaptation 4 and 3 weren’t nearly as bad as 5 but still clearly suffered

While I understand the criticism for season 5, it was legitimately disappointing and didn’t have great arcs to adapt. I’ll always die on the hill that season 4 was great.

Season (for me) was one of the best seasons of anime I've ever seen. The emotional rollercoaster that season put me on from start to finish is only topped by this current season. Also, while season 5 was not my fave, there were certain things done that I really liked how they handled the Todoroki family issues.
