People need to put some respect on Gobuta's name in-universe. He was literally one of the first batch of Rimuru's followers. Even among the goblins, he was a part of the first villagers who vowed allegiance.

Usually, I hate revival mechanics in stories, but since it's connected to Milim's backstory, I'm fine with it lol.

I just wished they would've at least hinted at the story once (maybe they did in the novel but for now I'm assuming they didn't) so it doesn't feel like an asspull. Still like how this show did it overall tho.

Well, the light novels tend to split events up into more spread out narratives, so the big picture feels more congruent. For example, Clayman's current plan was supposed to have been introduced (kinda) when Milim first visited Tempest. Nevertheless, they definitely at least hinted about Milim's rise to demon lord in the anime being tragic lol. More like Milim straight up mentioned it in the hotsprings.
