There it is, the episode that break me every time. Well... let's go again !

SWAGxMAGICIAN

this is actually my favorite anime episode of all time. No other episode of any medium has ever impacted me like this. Not even my 2nd favorite episode, re:zero episode 15

This is also my favorite anime episode of all time. The VA for Ushio does an amazing job, especially in the build-up to "daddy's arms." Such a wrecking ball of an emotional episode.

imagine when this was the first slice of life anime I've ever watched.....this episode almost killed me :D

Also, in regards to Tomoya crying on the train, note that this is probably one of the first times, if not THE first that he has actually given proper recollection to Nagisa's memory. In the previous episode, they showed how Tomoya essentially turned into a "robot", just going through the motions day in and day out, trying his best not to think about Nagisa, Ushio, or his life in general. He even turned to alcohol like his father did to try and rid himself of painful memories. While telling Ushio about her Mommy, he did not realize right away the impact this would have on himself, and when it finally hit him, the floodgates that were holding back years of build-up were more than he could bear. The writers and animators did such a great job of conveying Tomoya's confusion and mourning in this scene.

Time for some cuteness for a couple of episodes. Edit: I got to point something out. The subs say "places I can cry" but nouns in Japanese are plural in context, generally. (所)one of the ways of saying place(s) is one such example. The original script intentionally left it vague for the later reveal. It isn't possible for the sub to correctly convey this due to how English handles plural nouns.

Jesus fucking christ it's actually WORSE if you've seen it before
