Akira wasn't the previous god, he was just the previous head of the family, they even stated in this episode that the god and the rat hadn't been reborn in a long time

It is obvious that Akira was NOT the god. Akito was god before her birth, there is no way there were two gods at the same time. Same, Akira was not the rat, because he was alive when Yuki was born.

Ren has always been a narcissist or psychopath (who are narcissists) to me (only loved Akira because he would give her love, attention, power as the head of the family and then hates Akito because she takes that away from her). Whereas Shigure was a scheemy egotistical dude who does everything to get the love of his life back to him and him only without the bounds and others to worship her instead of him only.

Nice rewie ad Always, however in my opinion you are a little overestimating the "evil" of shigure, it is true that he would do almost anything to free akito but it does not mean that everything he does has a negative side, first of all it’s definitely not his fault if Akito is become what she is, indeed akito has become so because of the character of both her parents, one who told her that she was the chosen one, that she was unique, special, that she had a right to everything, and the other who told him that she was useless and that nobody wanted her (with parents like that you understandably freak out) also during the childhood of akito, shigure, kureno and the other older Sohma were always kind to akito and comforted her when she was sad (therefore helped). Although Shigure is not exactly a fantastic person I would not say that he is the worst, indeed regarding his attitude towards Ren, surely he used her to remove from Akito the memory of Akira (for Akito's sake) but in any case she was already an extremely selfish person, who always wanted to be the center of attention and who went crazy when she realized that she wasn't anymore. It is also true that Shigure welcomed Touru into the house only to use her to break the curse but then he became a little fond of her, and also of the other Sohma (if he say that he is the worst type of man that’s not necessarily true…) in conclusion what I wanted to say is that although Shigure is not a fantastic person you do not always have to think that every action of his has the purpose of hurting someone, or that he does not care at all about anyone's health, in my opinion you have gone from an extreme to ' other, before you thought he was a good person and now you think that he is the worst of all and that every action of his is evil, somewhere in between please😅😅 however nice analysis as always ♥ ️ ♥ ️

Speaking of bringing back ideas. Kakeru had a line in episode 23 of season 2 to yuki “halfhearted kindness can hurt more then being ignored” which I think perfectly describes akito’s feelings towards kureno this episode.
