I teared up during the last episode, but I was legit sobbing with this one. I guess the topic of bullying and hating yourself hit a little too close to home.

!!!!!!!! Ahhh ahhh ahh ugh I love this, I love the response to this episode. I showed this episode to my dad to show him an example that regardless of your age, sometimes you need someone that shows you that they love you so that you can learn it is okay to lean on people when you can’t find the strength yourself. It’s a way to continue your journey of independence. Good job on pointing out how if someone sticks to leaning on the person who loves them, it will become dysfunctional and ultimately hurt that person. I think that’s what Kisa meant when she said she would become an even worse person. You guys are spot on! ALSO y’all are going to LOVE season two specifically because of this continued conversation.

This episode never fails to make me tear up!! You'd think after the last two epsidoes, fruba would chill and have a more laid back episode, but nope hahaha. This show is really great.

God, how can one show be so damn good? It’s so impressive and I love what this episode does for Yuki’s character. The introduction of Kisa is hilarious but soon turns serious with the topic of bullying. I love her character not only because her design is and I feel protectiveness towards her but also because of the strength/weakness she represents as well as the message of what bullying is like and does to someone and how it feels. I have not personally experienced bullying but I know how important a message like this is/can be and it’s compelling with how it connects/relates to both Tohru and Yuki but especially Yuki because it allows us to finally start to get an even deeper and great exploration of his character. I loved your discussion about how immensely strong Tohru is even if it sometimes leads to her being unhealthy in some ways. Also the mother wasn’t acting the best but it must be hard when you don’t know how to help your child and it was a good idea to keep them apart for a while although you can definitely tell she loves Kisa from the phone call. Tohru helped her just as much as she helped Kisa. I love the topic of strength and weakness in the episode and your discussion about it. Both strength and weakness are not completely good or bad but either are bad in excess which is a big theme in this episode. In my opinion with a lot of things you really need a balance to be your best. I actually relate to feeling weak being disabled thankfully I have people around me to support me and rarely feel that way/don’t let those feelings control me. Finally that ending is really powerful especially the voice acting and meaning it has. Great reaction and analysis/discussion. Keep up the great work. :-) <3
