I've been waiting for this episode for so long. This was definitely the best episode in the second half of Season 2

Subaru and Senku actually share the same VA, so that bit about the science was pretty funny. XD Elsa and Maylie weren't really sisters, they were sister figures. Hence why Elsa was questioning why he called them sisters, as if that hadn't crossed her mind before. I really thought you guys would pick up on that nuance. Also, idk if you picked up on the fact that after the biting contest, Elsa stopped healing, and Garf's wounds did heal. Definitely my favorite episode of Re:Zero ever, and my favorite fight in Re:Zero (Elsa vs. Garf). Such an epic episode, between the fights, Emilia's third trial, and the music hitting so hard at the end with Ram there.

I'm gonna give some additional informations about Elsa, that was cut out of the anime. And i understand why they did it, because it gives a better ending to Elsa's character. If you want to leave it at that for you, do not bother reading further. * * * * Elsa is not actually a vampire, Elsa gave in the source more informations to Gafiel: "Her immortality is a curse (remember curse users from S1), someone very skilled in cursed put a modified "suicide" curse on her, which is called "Curse Doll", the original curse is cast when the user carves informations about his target he wants to kill in form of a rune unto his body, by doing so the curse will take over the user and transforming him into a cursed doll that has no will of his own and gaining immortality with the sole purpose of killing his target. Once the target dies, the cursed doll dies too. The modified version though, lets the user retain his will while gaining the immortality aspect of the curse and also not dying if the target dies. They cut that whole part of the conversation out and her turning into a cursed doll too. ~personal take~ Though, each time the user "dies" its a coin flip and each time the coin flips the chance of turning into a cursed doll increases. That's what actually happend when she got crushed by the mabeast, she lost the coin flip and turned into a cursed doll. ~personal take end~ Next episode i'm gonna talk about the last part, because the rest would be spoilers for next week.
