FINALLY! I mean it's not like this arc is bad, but when it's the only arc you catch on TV due to re-runs, it tends to wear on your nerves.

As someone who is watching this for the first time with the bros, I feel like this arc has been a bit middling. Like, overall it feels like I'm watching this show more for the fantastically funny dub than the story or action. Since this show has such an incredible reputation I'm expecting it to blow me away at some point (beyond the great dub). So it's nice to hear from someone that this part of the story wears on their nerves... That means something great and more interesting is about to come.

Which I always found a bit funny. Does it drag at times? Yeah. But it has so many great moments, from Hiei at the gate and against Seiryu, Kuwabara tricking the beasts, Suzaku's general personality and power set, bringing the stakes back home to Keiko in a really scary way, Koenma's commentary, and of course that great finisher from Yusuke. It could probably stand to be two episodes shorter, but for what it is it's a lot of fun. Compared to something like the Three Treasures arc, which is great for Kurama but not much else, or the Rando arc, which has some fun moments but feels a lot like set-up, and with a much less interesting villain compared to Suzaku, it's much better.
