2 songs equaling around 12 minutes but the second song that they showed was played for about 7 minutes which is insane. They change songs when Taki flips the page and then the performance they show is all one song solo and all.

so, to answer the question of "how many songs did they play" and "where did they cut the songs", the rules of the competition are to play 1 "required" piece, from a list of songs the competition have chosen, and 1 "free choice" piece, which is just any song that isn't one of the required pieces (they'd probably have to send it to the competition to get it approved first). In both season 1 and season 2 (so far) we haven't really seen much of them practicing the required piece, and the focus has been entirely on their free choice piece (which is called "Crescent Moon Dance" and was composed for the show, if you wanna find it). So in this episode, they played the required piece first, and that was what they cut away from, what we got to see was them performing their free choice piece in its entirety. tl;dr: the performance we got to see was just one song played in its entirety, it was just long. Hope this clears that up also, while I'm here, I'm just gonna say how goddamn amazing that performance is, KyoAni flexing is normal, but this is just next level!
