They didn’t watch them together. Apparently there wasn’t quite as long of a break between episodes as usual but they needed to see the results of the Jojo replacement poll before watching the last episode. Source is from the editor in the discord

I would like to explain how Gold Experience Requiem's power works. So I do hope your editor do read the comments to determine if it's a spoiler for your reactions or not. Before anything else though, I'd like to say - big fan of your commentaries/reactions. Keep it up. So, GER as described in the manga possesses the ability to "revert to zero." Meaning it will nullify any action back to its original point. So it's not really a time ability, rather just a cause/effect ability. Some people like to say the ability deletes the result and keep the cause which is the opposite of King Crimson which deletes the cause and keep the result. That's what was happening to Diavolo in his death loop. Giorno basically deletes Diavolo's act of dying. Keep on reverting him back to the moment before he dies, just so he can die over and over and over again.

It took around 500+ days for Part 5 to be confirmed, while we're only on day 356 or something, waiting for Part 6 to be confirmed. Still have a good half year to wait...

Each time Diavolo supposedly dies, Requiem just resets his reality infinitely. So he'll just keep dying, over and over and over. Effectively, Requiem created an entirely separate plane of existence only for Diavolo upon killing him. Also, that entire scene we saw in the last episode of Requiem reseting everything is only visible to Diavolo, appearing as a hallucination of the actions he thought he performed. But to people outside, he just simply never moved. And neither did they.

What I love about this. Our hero does not have the stand power of a hero.. its a villains power cuz who is his dad again? What if the hero had the power of a villain!

It would deserve it but the difference is that Jojo isn't done, neither with the anime nor with the manga(HxH is technically also not done with the manga but lets be real that's never going anywhere), so it'd be a little weird to do a retrospective when we'll probably get more Jojo next year.

weird how their experience of these final two episodes is going to end up vastly different than most people who watched the show as it aired. they picked up on the most important details in sleeping slaves tho: the teasing of a different possible destiny based around one specific thing: who's going to investigate leaky eye lucah. they have all the tools they need. the final requiem will play soon.
