this reminded me that they actually had a specific excuse for why giorno didn't call for help immediately: the turtle was in danger of catching on fire. as for the rest of the fight he's obviously in close combat and they wouldn't reach him in time if he were going to lose. still, i personally love the sillier excuses for fights to be one on one. one particular future arc is amazing for that
