Be happy you don't have voiced-over medias on tv. Lucky you. XD even bad dubs are so much better sometimes and have more charm sometimes (and sometimes not) than good voiceovers (lektors). XD 😆 but that's subjective. And you can hear the original behind the voiceover when you stray your ears. So... subjective. I do prefer dubs and subs, though. Lektor is, in a way, a dub for when dub would be a waste of money, but It's a completely differet beast than dub (or sub), so I often prefer the latters. XD still, if I watch in an lg I don't understand, I won't switch from voiceover to lack of it (original) on tv's remote. But that's a different tv experience. And I never have chances to discuss this, because at home everybody knows and it's a boring topic. Would be like talking about bread or about 'we should eat less sugar'. Too obvious. XD

If the western you were thinking of was The Magnificent Seven, that was 'inspired' by Seven Samurai.

Well, everyone knows that The Magnificent Seven was a western remake of Seven Samurai. Magnificent Seven is just a little more famous in the US since we have this weird thing against subtitled media.
