Yeah for once this isn’t an instance of Araki forgot this is definitely Araki changed his mind to write a more thematic and resonate story by making the kid a representation of the golden heart of Morioh and how that influenced our heroes

Really with Bite Ze Dusto being able to travel back in time and the guy looking like he had the shit beat out of him and being in that specific spot. I refuse to believe that it wasn’t originally planned to be that way originally

The piano version has a mystery, serious tone that I like to it, though. A lot of people give Chase hate because it makes it obvious that the story tone has changed, but I really like that about it.

Yeah, I prefer them just being an average Morioh citizen who decided to help. Not only does it make more sense for someone of that era (80s) to have that hairstyle instead of Josuke from the future inspiring... himself (which creates a paradox as the hairstyle would still have no origin). But it’s also better writing as it represents the themes of Morioh’s people helping each other unconditionally (which seems a lot more inspirational than Josuke helping himself).
