"When a life is taken, it doesn't come back."... remembers two episodes ago when Jotaro used Star Platinum and vampire blood to restart Joseph's heart

I dont think Jotaro keeps bottles of dios blood in his pocket in case he needs to ressurect someone.

TheWerdna

I know. Its still just funny considering its literally two episodes earlier for the viewers.

heart pumping and blood circulating =/ life and the absence of those =/ death Joseph never actually died, Jotaro hallucinates the ghost of Joseph which is why he remarks "was that real" when he sees it. You can disagree, but these things are in the text and are a lot more interesting than "araki forgot".

That's his grandfather, not his father. The turtle was injured, not dead. Not even close to dead.

The stand damaged the brain, as seen by the blood coming out if the eyes and ears. Restarting someone's heart would do no good in that situation.

Everybody likes to shit on when Star Platinum "revived" Joseph making what Jotaro said about stands not being able to bring back the dead sounds stupid. But hear me out, Star Platinum didn't give a dead Joseph life or anything, he was clinically dead and just needed something to jumpstart his blood flow again, that's what Star Platinum did, it's not like it used any stand power capable of bringing back the dead. The only thing that made it capable of that in any special way was just being able to reach inside Joseph to stimulate the heart.

Josuke: *Tries to bring already deceased grandfather back to life, doesn't work* Jacob: "But what about the turtle?" Well, there is a pretty obvious deduction to be made there, huh? If Josuke can ONLY save something if they're still living, and he successfully saved the turtle but not his grandfather, then...

While I very much agree with this explanation, wouldn't that mean that Josuke/Jotaro should be an unstoppable EMT team? Josuke restores a clinically, yet recently dead body to its pristine state before whatever killed them and Jotaro solves the one thing that's wrong with them at that point: no beating heart. Grandpa Higashikata is a perfect example since he was as freshly dead as possible, compared to how long the husk of Joseph waited around before being "treated". Of course, if the fan theory about vampire blood being what helped revive Joseph - which Joseph promptly expelled with Hamon - is true, then I guess that's wrong. Of course, if you're undead, you wouldn't need a beating heart...
