A few things I want to say after listening to your discussion. Not sure if I'm supposed to react on Youtube though, so tell me if I'm doing it wrong :) 1. Tachibana calls Mr. Kondo "Tenchou" which means "manager" all the time. That's the reason he misunderstood her when she said "Tenchou ga suki da" (I like you) at the end of last episode because he interpreted it literally: - Why do you go so far to work at my restaurant? - Because I like you as a manager. That's why she wondered later if she should have said it differently. Then she went to him and clarified by saying "Anata ga suki da" which can only be interpreted as "I like you romantically, as a person". 2. I loved the symbolic value of her telling him she likes him under the rain, no caring that she's completely wet because the reason they met is that she went to his restaurant to avoid the rain. 3. I think you guys are brushing off her love of running too quickly, saying it's a subplot. Tachibana is young and at a time when she's deciding who she wants to be. She basically lost the one thing she seemed passionate about, met Kondo at that low point in her life and fell in love. It's not a bad thing per se, but I'm afraid she's (subconsciously) replacing her passion for running by her infatuation with him. We don't know a lot about her except that she's head over heels for Kondo, and I think that's VERY intentional. It's like she's defining her entire self based on her relationship with him, and that's not healthy. It could be a major point of conflict between her and Kondo, especially with him being older and having a lot more life experience. I have a feeling he'll catch on that, and will (gently) tell her that she needs to exist outside of her relationship with him.
