Wow, that episode was so goofy. Quite a change in tone from the previous one, but they pulled it off quite nicely. I'm excited to see more of this Fuyumi character. Also, we have once again been shown that Kunio's mom is awesome.

Sadly she never comes back (I think she isn’t even in the manga). Forgot if this the first appearance of Kunio’s “true love” interest, at least she pops up again from time to time even in the anime. There is one awesome relation/romance that you don’t see coming that even if it doesn’t get much time in the anime still is pretty cute and really great in the manga.
