WHAT A JOURNEY THIS HAS BEEN! I'm so glad I found your channel, because your discussions (about AMB and many other shows) is a bit of a highlight of the week, even though I'm bad at leaving consistent comments. But really. It's been great. Glad you were happy with the finale. A lot of us manga readers were worried at this point, since episode 23 and 24 came out before their respective manga chapters. But there was a lot of communication between the studio and the mangaka, so now, having read the chapters this part is based on, it's very similar, with only some minor differences. One being of course that the manga is continuing straight into it's next arc (which is shaping up to be AMAZING and if we don't get a season 2, which if we do will be quite some time into the future, I'd definitely recommend reading the manga. It's worth it). But yeah. Really glad that you liked the finale. Your discussion about Joseph and Chise's conversation, as well as Chise's arc was pretty spot on. This show falters occasionally, but one thing I think it's brilliant at throughout is how it handles Chise's trauma, her self-esteem issues and her depression. And that's RARE for shows to do. The conversation between her and Joseph is SO GOOD. It calls out all the right things. And her coming full circle, not completely (she still have her issues), but enough to say that she's finally in a place where she's HAPPY that she didn't jump back then? So well done. Also I kind of really like that she didn't end up killing Joseph. Because there's always this focus on how a curse needs to be broken, and of course our hero will break it in the end... But a curse is what you make of it. Joseph is cursed to live, and I'm glad that wasn't just solved by having him killed, but instead of giving him some peace, allowing him to live without suffering... I think that's quite brilliant. And I like the return of the sleeping spell lullaby, and how that has been a constant theme of Chise's in this show - her ability (or inability) to make strong sleeping potions and spells. I also would have loved to have seen a more in depth conversation between Chise and Elias about what transpired with Stella, but I really like the way you talked about how that could be interpreted. Anyway, I'm going to miss seeing you react to this show (and to Silky especially. The best part of these reactions. Also the hate for Ashen Eye. That's great). I'd definitely recommend the manga if you want to know more about where the story goes from here. And I'm looking forward to watching a lot of other shows along with you. Take care!

Me too. It would've added a sense of finality, that everything has a consequence, and it would've served as a reminder and permanent proof of Chise's decisions and development.

I definitely recommend you two read the manga. It's beautiful, and there are a few differences in the chapter this episode was based on that make it a bit less final and leads well into the next arc. Since you two love Silky so much, each volume of the manga ends with some additional information about her. The creator also does something neat at the end of each volume where the layout of the various rooms of a character's home are drawn up. It's going to be quite a while until we get another season of this, if we ever do.
