I want to clarify something: 1) The sixth layer is the point of no return, not the fifth. 2) Right now there is only one completed arc in the manga after the end of the anime (and it's the best one), so a second season is out of consideration, unless they make it shorter. Maybe they can release it as OVAs. 3) Bondrewd is one of the best antagonist I've seen in the last years.

They've already announced a sequel for the show, probably for late 2019 earliest, and by then there will be good buffer between the show and the manga. where it is now would probably be the beginning of a 3rd season

Great reaction guys, this episode turned a really good series into a fantastic one and on my favourite anime list; I also feel that this series is important for how it handled the horror vs the human aspect, we have tons of series that do gore a few of them are even good (hellsing ultimate or Deadman wonderland are good to watch) however they lack hearth, humanity and deepness and this one definitely has those things thanks to the focus on characters actions, and connection to others, a true gem.

oh man i already knew from episode 10 how these two would react to mitty changing like was really just thinking you think riko's ordeal was sad ? oh boy ya got something coming but man is it a good show really like how they are not holding back this isnt just a kids show or a show that keeps you off the graphics just cause its kids sure its horrible to look at but thats the point this aint a place that holds back just cause they aint adults i really like that even if it makes me sound bad

yeah actually what i think was the worst for me in this part was not how horrible it was to see mitty like that but more how indifferent bondrewd was like how he saw everything as just well why not isnt this fine cause it aint me ? i think thats the worst part here :/ but yeah back to watching something happy

Remember when Ozen said she was way nicer than Bondrewd? Yeah, I guess she was understating it. I wish she would just jump down there and smash the literal **** out of his innards, after he's been transformed into a Mittty-like creature. Seriously, this guy is more screwed up than most villains that has humanity inside. What do you guys think, does Bondrewd have a heart? A soul? Is it ever possible to redeem him?!

Bondrewd is not really an evil person. He does not act on malice or hate in any capacity. He is a scientist first and foremost and one with a disregard for life and a loose sense of morals. But his aim lies in improving his understanding of the abyss. Certainly not a good person, but evil is reserved for those who do this with no positive intentions.
