SOS Bros React - My Hero Academia Season 2 Episode 15 - Who Let The Nomus Out?!?

Well...Iida is in trouble. At least Deku is nearby, so hopefully he'll be okay. As for the Nomus though, is Gran Torino going to die to stop them? Hopefully they aren't as strong as the Nomu that fought All Might, otherwise the heroes are toast. We'll be watching these every Friday until we're caught up! As always leave us your thoughts in the comments, we'd love to talk about the show with you! Bayan M

I want to watch this episode and others so bad that I became a patreon, I was wondering if you guys could fix it? Or upload it somewhere else?

I'm not sure where the source is coming from, but according to this tweet, https://twitter.com/YonkouProd/status/913364788578783232 mha/bnha season 3 has been confirmed. Since the last ep of season 1 confirmed season 2, hopefully the last ep of mha/bnha that comes out tomorrow confirms season 3. :)

Kyle

It's definitely real, yonkou is never wrong with his leaks.

Yeah he said he would deal with them later! (in reference to the league of villain and their shenanigans)

VinterSvart

All might also said that the true fight was kept secret because he asked to be kept secret :D

Peasant

That last "Shine". so good.

HYPE TRAIN CHOO CHOOO!

I recall that Nomu means 'to drink' in Japanese. Also, Genome is said like genomu in Japanese i.e. those nomu are an artificial cocktail of DNA :P

Mavengoose Unlimited

Love it when reactor/analyst pick up on stuff like conversation between big badie and shigaraki from episode 13 after the all might plus ultra fight

Princess Paladin

GUYS. PLZ. DO A REACTION TO THE OPENING. T_T (Also good reaction)

Anonymous

You guys are right, MHA is a very typical shounen in term of plot armor and not killing people off. What make it special are the outstanding graphics and the unique relationship between characters.

Sofia W

Please don't yet! The opening spoils the upcoming episodes pretty strongly. Why do you want to spoil it for them (assuming they haven't watched it yet, which I hope is the case)

Anonymous

Actually, nōmu (or noumu depending on how you romanize it) means brainless!

Princess Paladin

I'm still hoping for some actual deaths. I don't want this show to go the way of Fairy Tail where they keep threatening a character death but never following through, resulting in any shred of meaning in sacrifice or danger evaporating and an inability to take any potential harm inflicted seriously due to knowing nothing will actually stick.

christopher thao

dont think best jeanist i the 4th strongest hero 4th popular hero i think it was mention

I say Iida (hypothetically) sealed his fate when he called himself a hero. Stain saw revenge in Iida's eyes, but still hadn't decided to target Iida at that point, because he's just a kid. It seems Iida noticed this, got frustrated, and intentionally declared himself a valid target by introducing himself with a hero name.

Fing3rP0P

Fun fact: In the manga it states a possible character who was used for one of the nomus who has appeared quite far back in the show. Like at the start of season 1 far back.

Anonymous

He's 4th in overall ranking. This includes things like influence, popularity, crime rates statistics etc

Sadovari

I just want to point out that you were discussing a SHONEN for almost as long as you discussed pyscho-pass. This is good.

Carmadillo

Omg, it was such a trip to hear my comment from last week's video about Toxic Chainsaw get mentioned in this week's discussion. It wasn't my intention to write a leading comment, just to remind y'all what how that ep 2 conversation went since you two were arguing about it. Also one more note: the line "That punk couldn't have beaten me" can also be translated as "That punk couldn't have hurt me" or "That punk couldn't have done this to me", because translating is tricky and none of those would technically be incorrect. All this to say: in the perspective of the original language, there really isn't any ambiguity in what All Might says and means with that line. *slinks away*

semblanceofsanity

Haha awesome! Glad to hear it! Yeah we do use things like that as fuel for our more heated discussion. That potential ambiguity from OUR perspective gives us opportunity to go down a wonderful rabbit trail though lol.

Tammi M

"At least there's only three..." --"ONLY?!"

Princess Paladin

Also, All Might literally said in Episode 2 that Toxic Chainsaw did NOT injure him. No one was "leading" Jacob. It was clarified that All Might said that Toxic Chainsaw wasn't responsible for the injury. Deku just guessed based on the time frame.

Riru (〃^▽^〃)

This isn't a spoiler since it wasn't ever mentioned in the series, but the creator of MHA confirmed that the Nomu with wings is actually the same person as that kid with wings who was Bakugou's childhood friend in the flashback of the first episode. That's why we don't see him around after Bakugou and Izuku hit middle school. That is honestly some messed up stuff.

Mavengoose Unlimited

I think it is better for reactors to doubt the information given on show since it will lead to interesting analysis. I would want to ponder what kind of involvement Texas chainsaw guy had with the incident that caused the injury to all might. Just my thoughts.

Kyle

Yeah, the line is followed up with "this fight wasn't made public to the world" clearly showing that it was NOT the villain he just mentioned, because Deku wouldn't have known about it.

Kyle

Their Deku vs. Todoroki video was an hour and a half originally, this doesn't even compare.

Irenesharda

Actually, he didn't "literally" say that. What they are missing is that All Might never even brought up Toxic Chainsaw--DEKU did. All Might said that he got the injury from an enemy five years ago. Deku said "Five years ago, was that when you fought Toxic Chainsaw?" All Might responds that "You are well-informed. But a punk like that couldn't defeat me." The way All Might said that and the way his tone and words were framed would lead you to believe that Toxic Chainsaw was the one that injured him as his statement sounds more like he was saying that the villain gravely injured him, but he didn't allow for himself to be DEFEATED by him. The words used here are crucial. I too thought that it was Toxic Chainsaw that caused the injury until this arc came up. But we have to remember that All Might didn't know Deku very well here yet, so I would propose that his statement was purposely misleading in order to divert the truth. He trusted Deku with the main parts but not the entire story. And this makes perfect sense. Remember that a large portion of the superhero society DO know about All Might's injury, but NOT about One For All. Considering that the villain is probably intimately connected to All Might and One for All, All Might probably had to hide that connection from other heroes, and so they TOO might think his injury was the result of his fight with Toxic Chainsaw.

Irenesharda

Here's a question. How does Stain speak coherently with his tongue lolling out of his mouth? He shouldn't be able to form understandable words! lol

Princess Paladin

@Mavengoose Unlimited No, it's just frustrating when they continue to be confused about something that is a non-issue and was cleared up ages ago.

Jack Black

So much hype!

Princess Paladin

@Jennifer Jacobs I know what was said. No, that wouldn't lead me to believe any such thing. The context was clearly that he wasn't responsible, and All Might LITERALLY said it was in a fight that was kept secret, meaning it LITERALLY wasn't Toxic Chainsaw. There is no way anyone could reasonably infer that Toxic Chainsaw was even implied to have been responsible from that exchange. He was clearly dismissive of the idea and moved on to say the injury occurred under different circumstances. His statement was very clearly a rebuttal of the guess Izuku made, without saying who actually injured him, because, yes, he didn't know Izuku well at the time. This isn't some nuanced issue where you need to dissect the dialogue. It wasn't Toxic Chainsaw, they never said it was Toxic Chainsaw, and they never implied it was Toxic Chainsaw. That's all there is to it.

Tammi M

Lol I thought that same thing when I first saw it happen! XD

Irenesharda

I think Zoro is better to understand since he still could use his tongue. It would be more like a ventriloquist does. With Stain though, he doesn't even use his tongue!

Irenesharda

Considering that I, and I have also read the responses of many others, who also assumed that it was Toxic Chainsaw, it was not nearly as clear cut as you personally believe. Perhaps YOU didn't hear the nuances that others heard, but for many, Toxic Chainsaw's involvement WAS indeed implied. By the way, "literally" means that he actually said those words, word for word, which he DID NOT. If you indeed know what was said, you'd know that.

Princess Paladin

Or maybe these "many others", and yourself, are more obtuse than you personally believe. Perhaps YOU read nuance into something that others didn't, but for most, Toxic Chainsaw's involvement was directly never implied and was immediately dismissed. By the way, I know what literally means, I was repeating literally because literally I don't need you trying to lecture me on how to use literally. Don't try to correct my grammar, when you can't even accept an utterly unevidenced fan-theory being utter nonsense. You try to talk down to me about what I "believe" when you and these "many" others, who don't seem to be around anywhere, believed something objectively wrong. Get over yourself. It wouldn't matter if millions of people had the wrong idea that Toxic Chainsaw was involved. It would still be wrong.

Stories thru art

Im guessing they will stay unavailable since you wrote this 3 years ago. I was really hoping they would at least upload the full reaction I really wanted to see their reaction to these.
