Whoa boy, what's this!

Patreon unlocked a new feature for me to test in early access. I give them lots of feedback on their systems so they asked me to try this out and leave them feedback. So here it is!

Browse through all the images on site! (Finally!) This is a super new feature, so if you have any problems, please LEAVE A COMMENT letting me know what your issue is with details. I am going to directly link Patreon to this post for feedback on viewing gallery images.

This is probably your only chance to have someone from Patreon stop by and read your feedback on this new system before it's released to everyone, so make it count!

With that out of the way, if the gallery system doesn't work for you I still have all the images available on onedrive.

When viewing portrait-style images on an iPhone in Safari, attempting to click the next and previous arrows would tend to bring up the lower navigation bar instead about 80% of the time. Some pictures also took quite a long time to load when paging through with the arrows. The description would change, but the picture wouldn’t change until the entire next image had loaded. I would rather be taken to a black screen and have the image slowly load in over time. My connection is pretty fast at home, so I don’t think the network was much of an issue. I like the carousel under the main image and other than the few problems above I think the interface as a whole looks very nice in a mobile browser! Also great Doodles Wat! I love the April fools doodles

one thing I noticed browsing these is that when you view the full size images, if the image is longer than the screen, the next/previous image buttons get pushed off screen, you can use a scroll wheel to find them, but it's a bit strange. also, on the bottom row, the buttons cover most of the 1st/4th thumbnails

When clicking on the left-right arrows to scroll through the images, there's no 'busy' icon or indicator to indicate that the browser is busy loading the image. So there's no feedback that the click on the arrow actually worked or was actually clicked on.

Yeah, usually there's a loading blank so you know it's loading something.

I'm not able to click past the preview images past the tenth. Number 16 also takes one heck of a time loading. Could use the ability to tap with the directional buttons as the images all have different sizes. Neat new feature still.

I have these same issues, 16 is a very high resolution image so that makes sense.

On galaxy note8 phone, but with speedy wifi: as anything patreon it's slow af to load. It just give an overall impression of lag and slowness. You see the next / description ages before the image. Could def use a thumbnail low res feature while the image loads. Also preload images as soon as I click the gallery? Wow. Such 2004 tech. Shouldve been implemented to speed it up. Terrible lightbox for phones. The expand / minimize feature does nothing. The text goes down below the screen nomatter which I choose. As does the navigation. And I cannot swipe.

It takes several seconds for the lightbox to "pop up" once ya click it. Even if you already had it open..is it bound to framerate or something rather than delta time, might look good on your pc's with 140 fps, but not so much a phone? I fear to think of how long it takes on an even slower phone. Closing the gallery the index turns to Not a Number rather than the img you were on in the gallery

Being able to leave feedback on images or interact with them in any way would be preferable. So far I see no upside to having the art hosted on patreon itself. I cant link to imgs directly. I cant see name of img other than wat's description. I cant see what others have given as feedback as that would require me to close the lightbox, read comment section, then open and click the navigation button multible times before Im back where I was before. Rather just open a new tap for an external gallery. Also. Will nsfw art even be allowed on patreon?

I'm not worried about rumors posted on random discord channels. Also Patreon doesn't differentiate between off-site work and on-site work, if you are being paid on Patreon and making content they don't agree with they will tell you to remove it off-site as well.

Navigation with arrow keys would be great and the next and previous buttons should be in a spot where they don't constantly move with different image sizes. Also when you set the toggle for having the images fit on screen it is slightly too big still as some words get cut off on images that get shrunk to fit.

Seemed to work pretty well overall, although I had similar issues with images loading or being too big and needing to scroll. My 2c would probably also like keyboard navigation. (Also, the sketches were pretty neat, I liked the depth in the unfinished college sketch)
