Hey gang,

I thought it'd be a good idea to go over the work, progress, and my goals for each month. This way I can keep an overview of how things are going, determine any weaknesses I'm having, and also give you guys an opportunity to give me any feedback.

So for November my goals were to get better at taking bigger animations from start to finish, finding a balance between games and animations, and making sure I'm communicating with you all at a decent frequency.

I think I got a bit better at planning animations. Before, I used to just make a few shots and then string everything together with the hopes it just kinda works at the end. I think this has caused some of my animations to take longer than they should, as I start to lose focus on how I'm going to finish it. Now I plan things out in writing first so that I always know what to work on next for the animation and where it's going. It also prevents me from adding a lot more to I than I should later down the line.

As for finding a balance between games and animation, I don't think I did well on this. I think with the Halloween Booette animation and the Pyra No Nut November animations, I put too much on my plate and they quickly dominated my time from Renapet, the Isabelle animation and Fox Hole. I think from now on it's probably best to focus more of the Patreon voted work and then focus on holiday focused things once I get them done or close to done. Also, I'll be planning those holiday animations out well in advance from now on instead of trying to tack them on in the mix of everything.

As for communicating, I think I'm doing a decent job on this, but there is also a lot of room for improvement. For one, I think I tend to batch my posts together a lot. Like, instead of spreading out my posts, I usually wait to post  them until I have a lot of things to posts, and then I post them all at once. This post is actually a good example, as I'm posting this report along with several other posts haha But in the future I will try to spread them out so I can keep you all up to date with everything. Or if you guys prefer, I can keep them in batches. Let me know in the comments.

As for the projects in progress, I'll break them down now:

Pyra No Nut November:

So this was another spontaneous animation that turned into an animation set which unfortunately ended up eating a lot of my time. I also started these well into the month which didn't give me all that much time to complete them. I like the idea of making things for the holidays though, so I really wanted to try and get these out on time. I actually pulled 2 all-nighters for this, one of part 2 and another for part 3 haha. It wasn't too bad since I was just visiting family for the Holidays and didn't need to do anything too intensive. But unfortunately I think I burned myself out a bit by the time I needed to finish part 4.  So unfortunately I had to delay that part and ended up missing the December 1st deadline. Speaking of part 4, it is progressing well,  but there's still quite a bit to do on it. It will have a small intro before the sex scene that is already done for the most part. The main thing right now is completing the main animation of the first loop, then doing the secondary animation for it. Once I get that done, the rest of the animation should go smoother as I'll be able to refer and edit the first loop for it. At the latest, I want to get this done by the 11th, but if I'm being realistic, it will probably take until the 14th. I'll try my best to get it done before then!

Booette:

The Booette animation is going okay, though like I've stated before it's taking a lot longer than I wanted it to. This animation is probably the biggest example of how flawed my approach to making animations was before. Originally this was just going to be a loop ( I actually started this on Halloween and wanted to get it done in a day), but I ended up adding quite a bit to it and doing a more ambitious loop for the sex scene. I wanted to take the first week of December to wrap both this and the Isabelle animation, but unfortunately I ended up losing quite a bit of time, plus I still need to finish the conclusion of the Pyra animation.  I'm hoping to finish this a little after the Pyra finale along with the Isabelle animation.

Isabelle:

The Isabelle animation is still a bit in the concept phase. I know how I want the loops I've laid out to go, but I'm still on the fence of how big I want the animation to be. This month is already going to be pretty stuffed with work, so I don't want to add too much more to my plate, but at the same time I want to make it something a bit special since I like Isabelle haha This one should go a bit smoother though as not only do I feel a bit more confident planning animations out, but Isabelle doesn't have too much on her person to add for secondary animation so I'm hoping it won't be too bad.

Fox Hole:

Fox Hole is going okay, I still have some scenes I need to layout and hen I'll move on to finishing the code base and getting a demo out. Like I said before, most of my time got eaten up by the November animations so I'm hoping I can use December to work on it more alongside Renapet.

Renapet:

Like I mentioned in a previous update, Renapet has been going a bit slower than I wanted due to animation work. December will have quite a few animations to do as well, but I'm hoping I can release a new proof of concept demo made in the Godot engine at the end of the month so I can start adding onto it overtime. I also haven't been feeling confident on my raw pixel art ability and I think some of the sprites I've made for Renapet need to be changed a bit. So I will be working on that as well. I will try to do some work on Renapet each day and will let you guys know how things are going.

Conclusion:

Overall for this month (and for October as well), I think I'd give myself a 6 out of 10. I think I got a bit too ambitious with the amount of animations I was doing and my lack of focus lead to multiple projects being left unfinished. For December, I want to wrap up the work from the previous months that I didn't finish, and scale down some of the monthly animations so I can make sure that I'm getting them out on time. I also want to make sure I'm making good on your patreon rewards by releasing animations early to you all, putting your name in animation and game credits, and also getting some game demos for y'all to give me some feedback.

Thanks for sticking with me so far. I know things are kinda jumbled and unorganized right now, so I'm going to do my best to correct that and get content out to y'all in a timely manner.
