Colin had to actually explain this one to me (our music tastes are very different), which sort of made me question the joke, but I guess if I'd been given my way everyone would be super confused about a comic referencing Indigo Girl's lyrics instead XD

You see it’s a reference to the Bob Dylan song ‘All Along the Watchtower’, which was covered by Jimmy Hendrix, which was then covered by these Indigo Girls.

Going off of Colin's 'are Jester and Thief princes...?' tweet, I can also see a swerve in interpreting the line as 'Elf Princess kept the view', which was certainly the case (for me at least) with today's pinup....
