The amount of enemies my characters have decapitated and/or burnt to ash, statues destroyed, and skeletons smashed just in case is higher than I thought it was going to be when I first got into this hobby.

The party finds a pile of corpses. A few rounds after they start searching the room, a ghoul pulls itself out of the pile, and combat begins. Naturally, the party's response was to set the entire pile on fire and have readied actions to hit anything that came out.
