June 2021 Pinup: Street Samurai (Patreon)

I don't know if I've ever mentioned it, but Masamune Shirow is a HUGE source of inspiration for me.  I got my hands on his Appleseed manga at a young age (and crushed on Briareos HARD, how nerdy is that?) and absolutely adore his attention to detail and backgrounds--two things that I struggle with to this day!  You always love artists who can do the things you want to be better at, in my experience.

He also draws a LOT of pinups. So, so many. So really, doing a tiny little tribute inspired by him is pretty fitting. <3
