So there has been a can I have been kicking down the road for quite a while and working on prostitution means that it's something I finally need to face.

There are a few activities that Sammy can do around the world. Running, playing soccer, studying in the library and of course hanging around the streets advertising herself. While she does this, she can be wearing any outfit the player decides so it is impossible for me to account for what she is wearing in CGs. Currently I show images such as her hands or feet like you can see in the image below. Sometimes I am able to get away with showing images of other people who Sammy is with.

As far as solutions go, it's not a terrible one. But it also isn't very interesting either. And there are some instances where I cannot even give a CG like this because it wont show what's going on. This is where I am hitting a wall as I can't show Sammy standing around whoring by just showing hands or feet. And being it's a sexy job, there really should be sexy images shown.

So a kind of solution I thought of is to just show possible versions of Sammy in these pics like you can see below. This gives an excuse to show sexy images while being very quick to draw. (NOTE. The image below is a mockup to give a visual idea of what I mean)

The problem with this is I am 100% guaranteed to be inundated with bug reports telling me Sammy is dressed wrong. Which is fair enough because the image looks no different to any other CG that does account for customisation.

Since the images in the quest log has never been complained about despite showing a unique Sammy, people obviously realise it's an image of a possible Sammy and not your Sammy. So maybe it's a case of presentation. If I show the images in a different way, people will realise it's not meant to look like their Sammy.

This sort of revived an old idea I had where when you complete quests or do certain actions, you would get a collectable polaroid picture added to your diary. So I decided to see if it would also work with activities as well. (Again image is a mockup)

Playing cards were also an option, but that would limit me to 52. I have seen other games use a default/canon appearance character or make use of chibis. Default appearance is a possibility, if a boring one, and I don't want to make use of chibis so that one is out.

Other examples

My last discussion post (that I still need to reply to) generated some extremely valuable ideas, suggestions and discussion. So I am hoping presenting these ideas will do the same because I am not entirely sold on this idea.

I have to admit, the photo with caption looks pretty good, and tells a bit of story together. Perhaps a more scrapbook / journal style though for wherever all the CGs end up stored for player to view. I'm for using Sammy variants in these, something easy to forget for players right now is that, in universe, she can actually look like any of these variants. We just have the one mission in Haven that requires it and it's otherwise expensive to do. Maybe that shouldn't be the case, if the game makes it a part of the story that Sammy 'shifts' more I don't think these CGs would be as jarring. I don't know what a more complete version of the game will look like, but I imagine Institute missions will require other disguises for Fixer work as the story continues. And maybe Sammy doesn't want people to connect her to working at the bar or whoring. Maybe let players design a separate persona for that, putting in a dialogue option to switch in the bar backroom for barmaid, have similar starting locations for other jobs (At the mirror putting on make-up for whoring, etc). To expand the idea, have some lines written where people Sammy knows notice that she has palette swapped and commenting about it. This reminds the player that Sammy can do this and supports the various versions in the CGs.

I think there should maybe the polioraids work well as an achviment or first doing a event/ a mile stone amount of doing a lewd event reward thing. when it comes to the pressing question, I think there three comined answers. 1.The close ups: using shots/ perspectives like are already in the game like the runing feet for running are a good idea to expand on. Using close ups of the face(eyes/mouth) and feet would be a good soultion. for soccer and running there in place already, mabey for soccer and a diffireint perspective adding the ball to deffirentiate the two. Both running and soccer could have close up on the eyes with sweat beads or griting mouth of exertion. For street work a close up of heels. seductive eyes or a devious grin. Libary could be a close up hands on a book and Glasses wearing eye. these would limit the amout of variables needed to be accounted for and for the eyes a easy reusable template. 2. Silouets: the easyest answer full bodyed sillioutes that account for the situation while also not needing much in need of detail, just having to account for hair length/ style and fitness level. Soccer a silliouets of people playing soccer accounting for wining or losing. Running self explamitory maybe accounting for a nice run or stressfull or accedent ridden run. Walking; agian self explanitory maby acounting for the type of sammy. Street work a seductive lean against the wall or sexally standing astride ect. the possebiltys for that one are plenty. Libary Sitting with a book. 3. full bodyed template CGS: these would be CGs that would account for many variables but be 2 to 3 cgs that could be reused across activitys. not unlike the sammy avatar. this would definitaly take some time to account for the various variables, which would be lessend by the activity spisicfic outfits. these options used together or interchangably would work well especialy 2 and 3. hope this helps even though do belive there are many people who would like for there coustimaized sammy to be reflected in pretty much every thing.

Love the photo idea like achivements and the still I think is understandable maybe like someone else recomended put a not the first time this type of events happen to clear it up
