In this video we'll watch what many metalheads consider to be the best instrumental ever. I'm talking about Metallica's "Orion." The track can be found on the album "Master Of Puppets", released in 1986. It's called Orion because of the spacey bass lines that Cliff Burton wrote. Along the way I'll be pointing out some of the music theory used in the song....things like the scales, chords, and keys. So grab your axe and let's do this muhahaha

It made me think about Iron Maiden’s Losfer Words. That’s an instrumental master piece as well. It would be interesting to hear your analysis of it. Unfortunately there are no good quality live concert videos of it, easily available on YouTube. As far as I could find, there only cover versions of it. Anyways, once more, great video. I will now delve into the pdf file.
