Thx for the tips on harmony. Lately, I’ve been playing some Ozzy bass lines from when Randy Rhoads was in his band. I don’t think that I’ll ever be as good as RR, but it’s interesting looking at the outlines of the chords that he used together.

Yeah exactly brother...it's all about understanding the harmonic devices guys like RR use. Everyone gets so caught up in the technique but it's really all about the harmony.
