Legato Lord Neoclassical Exercise (Patreon)

Niccolò Paganini was a lord of legato technique. One of the greatest violin virtuosos who sold his soul. Legato means, "smooth and connected." The way to achieve that sound on guitar is to use less picking. 

The attached exercise below takes you through one of my favorite legato warm ups outlining a neoclassical chord progression. We're in the key of G minor, using pull offs to execute the harmonic minor primary chords Gm-Cm-D.
