I've included every arpeggio shape you need to know for thrash metal below. Using the CAGED System, we can demystify the fretboard by building on open position chords. The CAGED System is an acronym, standing for a C chord, A chord, G chord, E chord and D chord. Most of us know these chords. 

When you play those chord shapes higher up on the fretboard we get the arpeggio patterns I've tabbed out below. Most anything you hear from thrash gods like Marty Friedman, Kiko Loureiro or Kirk Hammett will be based on these basic shapes.
