Let's have a little fun with Dave Mustaine's Symphony Of Destruction. I assume we're all familiar with the tune. I've tabbed out the first four bars of the intro below. It's a classic E phrygian riff, containing that venomous flat 2nd scale degree. Now, here's your assignment...I want you to play the "Inversion" of the main riff. The inversion is when you reverse the direction of the intervals. For example, if the original riff starts by going F-E, the inversion would start on the same note F....but then go in the opposite direction for the next note, which would be G. Keep everything within the key of C...so you should't be playing any sharps or flats.

Film yourself playing it, or send me the tab, however you want to do it. Best way is to DM me a video on Instagram. I'll choose a couple entries to upload to my stories. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

that might be a little out of place for my youtube channel brother...surf guitar is rooted in the 12 bar blues though. It typically involves outlining dominant seventh chords
