Changing to a Pay Up Front System (Patreon)

Hey guys it's us again!

So as you hopefully know already, we will be changing over to a monthly pledge from our current pay per creation pledge type. For more details on that you can check out the last post to read more details about that.

With our switch to a monthly pledge, it also means a slight change to when your pledge will be processed. So here's some details on that:

- Monthly pledges will now be processed on the 1st of every month. For new Patrons or if you're switching to a new tier you will be charged immediately. If you're in an existing tier and upgrade to a higher one, you'll immediately be charged the difference between your current pledge level and new pledge level (ie if you're in a $2 tier and switch to a $5 tier you will immediately be charged $3).

- When you switch to a new tier you will be charged for the remainder of the current month, and then get charged the pledge on the 1st of the next month (ie if you switch from $2 to $5 tier on August 25th you will immediately be charged $3 - this will give you access for the month of August and you will then be charged $5 on September 1st).

- We're aiming to have everything ready for September 1st. With the way that the current pay per creation system works, you'll have to be charged for August's pledge at the end of this month, then be charged again for September's pledge when you switch to our new tier. From then on though your pledges will be spaced a month apart.

Why are we changing to this method?

By doing it this way you and new patrons can get full access to your benefits immediately instead of waiting until your pledge is processed at the end of the month. This means instant access to stuff like our archived posts, BTS videos, and Discord.

What happens to my current pay per creation tier when we switch to Monthly?

All of our current tiers will stay the same but be changed to a monthly pledge. For example, if you are in the $5 per cartoon tier but have a monthly cap of $20, you will only be charged $5. These tiers will be unavailable to new patrons as they don't fit our new monthly system. The new benefits that we are introducing will also only be available for the new tiers. We ask that you transition to one of our new monthly tiers so that we can phase these old ones out as soon are you are able.
