[Story] Origin of Orcs (Patreon)

The tribe of Orcania was fighting a brutal war with a neighboring tribe. Nearly all of their men were killed by this point and defeat seemed imminent. The village oracles prayed for a miracle, for a boon, for anything to help them turn the tide. A message was conveyed to them: "SEND THE WOMEN INTO BATTLE."

All able-bodied women were sent to the battlefield. They were all scared and almost none of them went willingly. As the attackers approached, the untrained women were fully prepared to be cut down. But then, the boon was granted.

All of the women yelled out in pain and confusion. The pain caused them to double over or drop to all fours. The enemy forces were still too far and there were no signs of ranged weapons being used. The few men that were left and accompanying the women were unaffected and at first they thought the women had been poisoned.

A wispy, magical light surrounded the girls. Then the physical changes started. The men could see that the women were growing! Their muscles were swelling and their legs and arms were becoming as thick as tree trunks. Their skin turned a sickly green. Their ears and teeth turned pointy. They were all so tall and so strong. They were monsters.

The enemy force had no way of preparing for what happened next. The transformation filled the women with an intense bloodlust. The women of Orcania, or "Orcs" as they came to be known, quite literally ripped them apart.

Afterwards, the Orcs took control of both tribes. Women were given the option of undergoing the transformation and many of them took up the offer. Most men were cast out but the bigger men were kept around for breeding purposes.

As time went on, the Orcs' strength and brutality became legendary. Most tribes began to surrender to them without a fight. They eventually conquered the whole continent.
