April 24 Update (Patreon)
Content
I also need to edit the various stories I've written, though, and I don't want to weight the end of this break month too heavily on that sort of thing. So I may juggle those around some more to keep it from ever being a grind.
Next week's update will be a schedule of content release dates. A little before that, expect a blog post explaining what people will get, plus some screenshots. That's it for miscellaneous updates, now I'll be talking about my second break game.
I've been playing with the other project I mentioned before, though I doubt this one will make it to completion. If it doesn't, I can shelve it and finish it up later, depending on my mood and the general reception to side projects. Going to talk about it a little here, please do reply if you are opposed, ambivalent, or interested in the concept.
The second game I'm making has the working title of Futa High. It is probably not at all what you might be expecting from a game set in a high school, but the "futanari" part isn't deceptive (futa/femme, FYI). In the past when I asked my audience about this they weren't opposed to this kind of thing, but that was a long time ago. Do let me know if you have strong feelings, though I'll probably progress about the same regardless.
I'm doing this game in Ren'Py, in part to dust off my skills for our next big project at Hreinn Games. It's partially visual novel, partially more of a sim - I'm not sure exactly how to balance certain elements of the game yet.
Currently I have a decently-sized intro completed and in playable state. I will let you guys see it no matter what, though if I don't finish much more I won't release it publicly. Again, if there's enough interest I might finish it up later, but when the month is over I will be setting all side projects on the back burner and returning to TLS with a vengeance.
These side projects are germane to the development of TLS, though. There are a few artists I'm considering for TLS, but I don't know if they have the staying power for a project like this. Commissioning a few CGs for a short game would be a good test to see if some of them have the chops to draw for TLS.
Yeah, I think that's it for now. See you next week!
