I'm still hard at work on the next TLS update, but I'm in the middle of the long grind; I don't have a new topic and it's boring to say the same "still working" every week, so here's a post I prepared earlier when I had more time. But after this, playtime is over for me: nothing but increasingly intensive work until the next TLS update is done.

I'm going to take the unusual step of recommending a game: Noblesse Oblige, made by a TLS player who you may recognize from the comments here as Lord Forte or CyberForte.

While TLS is in the same category as a great many other games, many of those are are not really aiming for the same goals. Noblesse Oblige is an exception to that, covering politics, investments, and strategic decisions. Many aspects of it could be efficiently described as "TLS plus X" or "TLS except Y". I'll leave you to discover the plot and other general elements from the pages linked above.

The connections are openly acknowledged, both explicitly and implicitly. =P

The game takes advantage of a lot of scripts I didn't know existed when I started TLS, so combat is definitely more tactical. There's significant attention given to establishing the world, including careful use of tiles and characters (though you will see some familiar faces). Right now there is a solid 25+ hours of content, covering what I presume to be a meaningful fraction of what is to be a larger game.

Like TLS, it's a freely-available RPG Maker game. You can download directly, play on Steam, or support on Patreon. There's also a fan wiki, with detail similar to TLS. If you want to check out a similar game at an earlier stage in development, give all that a look!

I like this idea from the Discord a lot: https://discord.com/channels/896059111106551859/896059994531831878/1221939786609328189 As you sound kind of busy I'm going to copy it here literally. Odin suggests: "thinking about it, I'm a bit bummed you can't get the Otherworldly Robes enhanced later on, it feels like it'd be a good thing to do with Mithyn" I'm very conscious that it's probably not the right moment to share this but I have been in holiday for a bit. Maybe it could be considered for the 1.0 game release or later versions.

Also like that idea. I still use the crusader robe (for MAG +50) from the war vaults on Robin, the otherworldly robes could use an upgrade for at least some offense. I like the idea of having massive MDef, but the ability to dish out damage seems more important in most fights, loosing that massive chunk of offense (+0 MAG) seems like bad trade for it...

Just finished up Noblesse Oblige and if anyones thinking about playing it...do it. It was fantastic and I enjoyed every second of it. The dialogue can be a bit...annoying with how the characters speak and the sex scenes can kinda run on but aside from that the game is great and well worth a play if you enjoy TLS.
