March 10 Update (Patreon)

We're doing a weird, long update cycle this time, but I think it will be for the best overall. Definitely into the thick of final battle stuff on my end. But that's what I've been saying for a little while now, so... let's talk about internet service providers.

Some of you may remember last year when my ISP was down for over a day during a release period, which wasn't great. I haven't talked about it, but I investigated other options and discovered that there's a good fiber optic option here now! Switched to it months ago and it's working great.

Most of the time, your observable speed actually has more to do with browsers and other secondary factors than raw internet speed. But when uploading these game files... whew, you feel the difference then! It's not just faster, this seems to confirm my old theory that doing a big upload led to my connection getting limited for the duration. I still have to wait for RPG Maker to compile, but the upload part of the process is so much smoother now. ^-^

Anyway, while I'm focusing ever more on the final updates, endgame issues and bugs are still coming up. For example, I realized that the Erosian smith investment was originally intended to be necessary for a party member's custom equipment, but I never actually followed up on this. Unless someone else can think of a piece of equipment where this would logically fit in, though, I think I'll have to leave this one as just a subpar investment for more Erosia points.

Probably going public with this update next weekend. This hasn't slowed down my work on future content up to this point, but that won't be true forever.
